I have placed multiple orders with Alpha Imports over time, but unfortunately almost every order has involved issues such as wrong items being shipped or defective materials.
In some cases the company partially refunded the order, but most of the time they required us to ship the incorrect/defective items back to the USA at our own expense, even though we are based in Italy. This creates additional costs and delays that I find unfair and unprofessional, especially when the mistake originates from the supplier.
In my latest order from March 9th, I ordered emerald-cut Sky Blue Topaz stones, but instead received London Blue Topaz. Although London Blue Topaz may be more expensive, it was not the material I specifically needed for production.
Additionally, the 7x5 emerald-cut Peridot stones included in the order were defective and/or outside the stated size specifications.
The supplier is again requesting that I return the merchandise to the USA in order to receive store credit. After experiencing repeated problems with product accuracy and quality control, I find this policy disappointing and not customer-friendly for international buyers.
I hope the company improves its quality control and customer service procedures in the future.
