I have been a customer for over three years and I have never had an issue. The support team is amazing whenever I have an issue. The speeds I get with newsdemon are better than what I get with other providers.

I've been a customer for 3 years now and for the first 2 years, everything was perfect. I didn't have to contact them once (this is a rare thing to say). Then they changed the backbone which really screwed up the service as many have mentioned BUT...,despite the hiccup, they provided me an alternative way to configure my software to get the previous experience. It did cost me an extra 40 cents per month but my renewal cost the same price so I'm not going to complain about the small increase especially since it wasn't exactly needed, it is my choice to add/pay for it...and it helps so I'm happy in that regard. The fact that they made this deal shows they care about their customers and I truly appreciate that. Besides this, the service works as advertised...never had a problem in that regard.

Newsdemon upgraded their servers in late 2020 so they are now their own backbone. They are also supposed to be adding a second US based server farm early in 2021. This is a great move for the usenet industry and helps keep the industry alive longer. Their previous provider has been rapidly buying up websites in an attempt to create a majority and raise prices on everyone.

My service level has not changed much at all after I logged in and re-downloaded all the headers (the article header numbers changed after their move). I think I may actually be faster than before but it is hard to tell. The support team worked with me to help get this done and I can thank Brent for being very patient and helpful with me.

Unfortunately, NewsDemon changed its backbone (and other things in the background) and stopped cooperating with the previous provider (since December 2020). Since then, it has been working very poorly. The retention time can not be kept, files that are only a few days old can not be loaded and older ones anyway. Unfortunately, the support gives only insufficient help. One refers there to the fact that one deletes now data from the servers, if these are called too little.

Very sad, because before NewsDemon was top, now unfortunately barely usable

I was with newsdemon for a few years. They were good to use until i asked to be dropped to a lower price for new customers. They accepted my request. Then i tried to download older posts and they were under 1000 days retention. So i tried a different usernet provider and had no issues. If they had told me my retention would be lowered i would of not accepted the lower price and stuck with them

Having been a customer at Giganews since 2006, I realized that a) their retention time was getting worse and worse and b) they charged me USD29.99 monthly even though new customers could sign up for 21.99.

Old files (+5 years), that I thought was lost forever, suddenly appeared and downloaded perfectly on Newsdemon. At full speed (60 MB/sec on a VPN-connection). And at a much more competetive pricing.

Goodbye Giganews - good day Newsdemon. Well done!

I have never been able to use this service because the NewsDemon index sites are blocked, at least in the mid-Atlantic region, by both AT&T and Cox. I have requested assistance by writing several times to customer service, but my messages have not been answered. They have never returned a single phone message or email, and they continue to charge my account despite my effort to cancel the subscription. I finally figured out how to cancel the subscription on my end, no thanks to any support from NewDemon.

Nothing worked, no help, a waste of money. Thank God I wasn't tempted by a longer subscription.

Posting off by default, but when you apply to get posting rights, you are ignored. (i.e. no 'denied' message, just ignored.)

Had a lot of trouble with others but this has seem to of solved my problem.

Have had their service before and for the price and features its a great deal

Only rejoined newsdemon based on it supposedly coming with news rover again which is so easy to use. Now I have to use newsbin pro which I find extremely complicated and difficult to use. As a usenet provider I find it does what it says, just disappointed about news reader software.

Newsdemon is a great service for accessing the news groups. It works fine, it works fast, and the files that I have accessed were all intact, no pieces missing.
