Terrible- worst company ever!
Terrible, avoid! Very poor design, the battery cells failed, then our inverter failed. Waited months for replacements as they don't seem to hold parts in the UK. One service tech trying to cover whole of UK. Soltaro try to wriggle out of the warranty in any way they can.Very poor after sales. They try to blame the installer, then the location... anything to void the warranty. Ive talked to other owners that system have failed, some one than once... like ours! See their response below, I have lots of pics of my installations and will gladly show them to anyone. Units replaced by their own staff have failed. Units replaced by their own CEO have failed. No one ever suggested location was the problem!!!Manufacter defects and very poor design. No evidence what so ever that location caused these faults AS ALMOST ALL FAIL!!! Installation instructions very subjective...for example 'adequate ventilation'... but the early version 1 gave no clearance distances at all. Yes, they did update the instructions eventually , but that is no help at all to the units already installed! I still have the Soltaro training documents and nothing about location/ventilation other than the word 'adequate'! In the hands of solicitors now.

Installed June 2021, Soltaro AIO2. Multiple battery faults over the first 12 months of ownership. A service ticket was raised each time and the issues were 'resolved remotely'. After the eighth reported fault in July 2022 and much arguing a warranty replacement was given. It took 2 months from the system going down to the replacement being installed. Another fault in June 2023, again 'resolved remotely'. Another fault in August 2024. After engaging initially, multiple requests for updates were left unreplied to by Soltaro support. We eventually decided to swap out the soltaro for a different system. It is my personal belief, given that both the original and replacement unit failed, that the Soltaro AIO2 is an unreliable product and prone to multiple failures. I also personally believe, from my own experience, that customer service is not a priority in any way for Soltaro.

We've had in excess of 150% failure rate... yes you read that correctly 150%..... We have documentation to prove this.
They will then use ANY excuse not to follow up on warranty claims & not pay for return warranty calls.

Its been 3 months since we installed…
Its been 3 months since we installed our Soltaro battery and we are now in credit with the energy company. We were unsure if it was the rught decision to add a Solar battery to our solar system but this first bill confirms we made the right decision.
Warranty not honoured..very unhappy that Soltaro are…
I am very unhappy that Soltaro are denying responsibility for my faulty A102 BTLV 5kw battery, installed just under 3 years ago. They claim the warranty is invalid, although independent review by Solar Choice of these batteries stated that they were prone to breaking down. I cannot afford to replace the battery and thought 10 years warranty would last me!

We Purchased 4 soltaro all in one ess inverters and battries set ups on our farm paying over 55 to 60 thousand dollars in total from day one it took 8 months for these systemes to start working all thought every few months they would cycle into fault mode ongoing these units have been un installed re installed replaced with mismatch battries that dont match other battries I had inverters blow up multible times and battrie storage plug Connectors browning out causing terrible smells I was told when purchased products these units had a 15 year warrentee and read it on there website brochures I have photos of warrentee bak when purchased for inverters and battries warrentee and 25 years for solar the original i staller who recomended to use these soltaro products has been bak and forth from my home more times then i can count fingers i now ring soltaro my self all the time to get rude un helpful custermer service and if I select I'm a custermer in the service redirection prompt I do not get answered unless I select I'm a solar installer and when I get answered and say my name and address they rudely hang up on me as I have video recorded this process ova and over i hav had my solar installer try and mediation a solution with no great out comes I'm at the brink i want my money bak for selling me a product not as described or my products changed out for a reliable product that was described to me prior to purchase all out I'm dis satisfied with these dodgee products this investment was ment to save us money with no power bills as we sized the unit twice as big of our actrul needs we wanted to buy sma or forunous products witch I know are trouble free products and was talked i to buying these lemons from mis described and represented sales reps who I really think lied to me about how good these things were they hav never been up to our expectations or satisfactory in my mind there been down with faults more then there been up and running with I'm extremely un happy about next stop is accurrent affairs to expose to national Australia and the world about my exsperiance and I'm seeking others to co tact me to be involved in a class action towards Soltaro thanks my co tact details are 0448 585 058 Kind reguards Craig date of exsperiance has spanned over 5 years

Great System and Support
I purchased my Soltaro 5kW inverter and 10kWh battery system 3 years ago. I have saved so much on my electricity bills in that time. The system developed a fault recently, so I lodged a ticket on their support portal. John L fixed the issue a day after I lodged the ticket. Thank-you for your assistance
Great Product
Just had my Soltaro battery system installed. Looks amazing. Already charging it twice per day with my 8c/kWh overnight rate as well as my daily excess solar. Can now really see the huge benefits of having a smart battery system that allows multiple charge cycles per day.
Just had my Soltaro AIO2 installed
Just had my Soltaro AIO2 installed. Looks amazing and works just a good. I have it scheduled to charge overnight with my Octopus Energy Flux electricity tariff for my morning usage and then my excess solar during the day. The main reason I chose Soltaro was because they allow multiple charge cycles per day without limiting the warranty like other battery manufacturers do. It's only early days but I'm very happy with my choice.

Battery Failing to charge after 18 months
My Livoltek battery failed to charge 18 months after installation. I logged a ticket with Soltaro support and was initially told the problem was due to the installation. Several weeks later the UK support team contacted me saying they had reviewed the issue and were able to assist.
They came out and took my inverter away for testing, then phoned me a few days later to say that they’d found an issue and that they were going to replace the inverter.
They also took the opportunity to replace the old Solarman WIFI dongle with their own (I believe) Qendercore dongle and this looks to be a good improvement on the previous one.
I can’t thank the UK guys enough for their assistance and based on the excellent support I’ve received from them, I would now be happy to recommend Soltaro.
Never buy their equipment

Their equipment cannot be monitored locally or controlled at all. Literally, the only setting you can change is charging schedule and you need a cloud connection for that. You need to press a physical button twice in order to activate a local web UI which deactivates in several minutes. The data in their cloud updates once per 5 minutes in the best case.
Their support never helps.
When my battery failed they just limited charging current and told me it's okay. They ghosted me on multiple RMA requests.
Buy Victron inverters and Pylontech or BYD batteries. It's 3-4 times cheaper and can do much more than crappy Soltaro.

I had an inverter installed as part of an overall solar system via an Irish supplier. It stoped and started a few times but stopped charging completely after19 months. Almost 11 months later this is not resolved and seems to be caught between Irish supplier and Soltaro. The cost of the unit was 5,000 euros. I will be following up with legal action to get resolution and removal of this unit.

Soltaro broke down two years into installation came out repaired issue however had sudden spike every morning showing up on app bug was never fixed. Went to upgrade to get myself. And purchase a battery the Soltaro AIO2 5kW model and I still can't get a straight answer out of anyone two years later. the after sale service is truly abysmal and this is not a British thing. I live in queensland, Australia. take my advice somebody who spent $8000 Australian, just on the solar alone not even including the battery, thinking I would be able to purchase it later on not knowing that there after sale service was this truly terrible. Also the fact that I supported their company when they were relatively new to the scene and an early adopter pretty much says it all avoid this company like the plague
Battery Failing to charge 3x over 18months
Had Battery & Inverter. Inverter failed so ended up with new mother board. The fault was described as a "power surge". Went wrong 2nd time... the symptom is the Battery is not charging. Eventually replaced the entire Inverter unit replaced under warranty. Worked OK for a period. Now same issue... Battery not charging. I paid out for a 10Kw battery. So the installation has failed 3 times. Each time it takes some 3 months. I am in Ireland, so engineer comes out from UK. Don't go with Soltaro. Reconciled to this being a waste of money & an ongoing headache. When choosing a product ask about the support.
Update 14-March. Well they came out about 6or7 weeks ago & fixed it. But guess what.... battery failing to charge again since yesterday. TBF Soltaro got on the case & delivered a firmware update remotely on 18 Mar. This looks to have fixed it. Will monitor
