I had to chase payment after 12 days. 1 device has been paid for but the other device I’m still waiting payment and i sent it on the 16th April. So pleased I sent it special delivery so I could track that it had arrived. Shout out to Roza. She was really helpful. Phone line wasn’t the best but she was really helpful. Thank you Roza

Straight forward transaction and received payment promptly.

Absolutely useless. Valued my phone through compare and recycle - offered £215.

Sent my phone and received an email saying it’s been revalued at £117.. why? Because the battery health was under 80% (it was 78%) fair enough.. but to take off £100?? Otherwise the phone was in perfect condition.

I emailed asking why, as another provider would only know off up to £39 paying me £172.. and Emma told me that it was due to other various factors and repairs.. but everytime I asked what other repairs/factors.. I never got my question answered, just avoided. Then she backtracked saying it was due to the battery health.

Appalling service. Never again using Wingpay, terrible service.

Rejected offer so I can get the money my mobile is actually worth. Scammers

Just be careful, these offer good money to get you to use them then state slight scratch or similar to reduce the amount
Standard way to reduce what they pay, please beware and use a company you can reply on as the money will end up the same.

Easy to get quote, downloaded label sent paid promptly,good service

Very easy valuation of phone for trade in. Easy postage arrangements with QR code and they honoured the quoted price. Paid into bank in 48 hours. Very good service.

Opted to sell my phone as they offered the most competitive price and seemed easy to deal with.
Sent the phone (in its original box) and waited.
Only to receive a notification that the phone had a big scratch on the screen the valuation was being marked from good to fair and the offer was cut in half.

I know this is not true as the handset had a screen protector on it for its lifetime.

Got the phone back and sure enough, the screen is in perfect condition.

Now have to go through the process of selling it to another company while wondering how many people Wingpay try this on with who just accept the revised offer without question.

I was made aware of Wingpay through Compare & Recycle comparison site. I was offered a price for an almost perfect phone and sent it in as required. I didn’t hear from either wingpay or Compare & Recycle so reached out only to be told this is nothing to do with Compare & Recycle.
Eventually I received a response from Wingpay advising an email was sent to me with a new price offer. No email has been received and after several more emails sent by myself, no further communication from Wingpay. A perfectly good iPhone has now allegedly gone even though I have proof of the phone having successfully been delivered. I now will be seeking compensation.
***UPDATE***
Following this review, wingpay reached out to me and the issue has now been resolved.
I’d received an email from Liz -head of support, which showed pictures of some scratches on the phone, subsequently the amount being significantly reduced in price. I pointed out that the phone was perfect and free of any scratches and defects when I sent it to wingpay due to it being in a protective cover for the 2 yrs I owned it. After discussion, Liz honoured the agreed amount and the money arrived in my bank within a couple of hours.

Sent my iPhone 11 to Wingpay via a price comparison site. As requested, I sent my device using the shipping details provided and tracking recommendation. Tracking confirms my device was delivered two weeks ago and I have not received any confirmation of receipt or payment despite having chased twice for updates.

Issue still on going, and will NOT be using them in the future. Update - Team Lead confirmed my phone has been located but now only being offered half the price originally stated therefore phone being returned.

Avoid like the plague.

Do not send your items to them. They advertise a high price and then mark the items down to increase margin. I am now recovering my items and hoping they are returned with the original boxes I sent them in.

I have no doubts that the 5 star reviews on here are not genuine.

I recently tried to sell my iPhone 11 Pro Max through Wingpay. Initially, I was quoted £215, which seemed like a good offer. However, upon sending my phone off in its original box, they revalued it at only £78, as they advised the device wasn’t charging. I was shocked by this as I had never had any issues with my device charging, I tried to contest this as I had photos of it charging and had charged it to 100% before sending the phone off. I was told either accept the offer or decline, no interest in investigating anything further. I requested my phone to be returned, and as I expected the device was charging fine with no issues, so they were just trying to give me a lot less than the phone was worth! Unfortunately, alongside this they didn't send back the original box that I sent the phone in. After contacting support, they said they would look for the box and request for it to be sent back to me. However, this was a week ago and I have not heard anything since this.

After this bad experience, I decided to sell to CEX as they quoted me a reasonable figure and paid out this amount.

I won’t consider using Wingpay again and would not recommend to anyone trying to sell a device!

Wow what more can I say about wing pay! Have used other companies who were good!! Wingpay are on a different level,paid more money & so so prompt payment! Will definitely only use wingpay again!
