I forwarded my issue

I forwarded my issue - Salus not pairing with its thermostat control. Joseph sent me pictures and instructions of what to do. When it still didn’t work, I sent a video and he was able to pinpoint the exact solution. All sorted out over a few working hours.

Easy to record a fault with item

Easy to record a fault with item, after a dmall delay in reply from salus due to tech issues.... the help received was second to none. Joseph who dealt with my case sent videos, instructions and even checked all was working day after issue was resolved. Excellent t customer service 👏

Communication breakdown

I inherited the Salus thermostat when I bought the property and I had no idea how to set the timing. Hence I emailed the company and chatted with Joseph. He then sent me the Salus control iTG310 FOC (thank you very much!) and told me to let him know when I receive it and he will then instruct me what to do next. While waiting for delivery, he closed the 'chat/ticket', assuming the issue was resolved! Far from it!! When I received the control equipment, I set it up and didn't know that I had to keep the control on all the time. His instructions were not very clear. I asked Joseph to confirm and he (nor his colleagues) didn't get back to me until over a week later.
Initially, Joseph was pro active and tried his best to help, sent me the equipment and all went quiet until he returned from his leave. All sorted now, company just need to improve in their communication. Thank you Joseph.

Don't bother

Don't bother. I had my it500 for 8 years with no issues, problem started after 8 years my receiver died and there is no way to get a new one except used one from eBay. I've been told that has to be purchased by someone with an account and also item is not in warranty anymore I need to buy whole set. They still selling products so must have receivers. So they basically pushing customers away from Salus. Good luck.

Hi Dalibor, this is not quite correct. At Salus Controls we have a very generous 5 year warranty, but as with all warranties they have to come to an end at some point. So in this instance, we would not be able to replace the receiver under warranty. However, you don't need to buy a used receiver, you can simply call your local plumbers merchant and ask that they order a new one directly from us. Hope this helps. Many thanks

I have a problem with my salus…

Have a problem with my salus thermostat. I have tried getting in touch but only get robot sally. I see from the good reviews there is only one man called Joseph. Who is this Joseph? If he exists it would be nice to talk to him(unless he is another rob). Tried calling out a private heating engineer but was told as I have a salus thermostat, would not touch me with a barge pole as salus is rubbish. At the moment my thermostat is not working with the temperature dropping my house is very cold and with no help. So if anyone reads this review think carefully before buying a salus.

Some heating engineers have their preferred products and that's fine, they just aren't familiar with other brands, but our products are very reliable and if they ever do encounter issues, as you can see from our reviews, we are very good at resolving them for you. Do not instal Salus in your home!

Absolutely impossible to get speaking to anyone or to get any technical help. I have no heating in 3 rooms, one of them is my bedroom, Salus is the underfloor heating system that was installed when I built my house. All I can do is enter a ticket which you automatically get directed to a page with manuals on it. None of these manuals tell you how to fix a problem, they are solely for how to install and set up. I am not an engineer! If I have paid to get a system installed, then I fully expect back up when something comes up. I have submitted 5 different requests and I have heard nothing back. I would recommend anyone thinking of using this company for their smart thermostats or heating controls to look elsewhere. I also suspect that the good reviews are fake, as Joseph does not exist. Terrible company, stay well clear.

Joseph C has been absolutely brilliant!

Joseph C has been absolutely brilliant. I moved into a property which used Salus. I had nothing but problems with my dongle (I don’t actually know the name of the equipment) this is because I could not get it to turn green from Red. Joseph asked me to return the equipment to him so he can test it out - turns out I was using the wrong cable. Joseph very kindly sent me the cable I needed. Then when I managed to set up the device, I couldn’t connect it to my phone. Again turns out I had downloaded the wrong app. Joseph has been along side me every step of the way, and has been on hand when I have had questions. Would 100% recommend. Thank you Joseph - I must have been a nightmare customer but you have made this whole experience more manageable and less stressful!

Outstanding customer care.

Salus honour their comprehensive two year guarantee. I experienced a problem with a room thermostat some 18 months on. Contacting the right people was challenging, however, when I got through they could not have been more helpful. An outstanding example of customer care. A great range of products. A helpful, knowledgable team!

My Wi-Fi router was damaged by lightning and this also affected my Salus gateway. I contacted Salus for advice, they were quick to respond and offer practical advice in problem solving the issue.
It’s now back up and running, all it needed was a new power supply, thank you Joseph!
It’s not the first time I’ve contacted them for help, every time they have been brilliant.

Salus iT500 thermostat timing issue

While we could only solve a technical problem by email, Joseph was very responsive and helpful to solve issue I was experiencing with my Salus iT500 thermostat. The problem was resolved promptly and politely, by simply removing the batteries for 10 seconds to allow the thermostat to reset.

I was having problems with my…

I was having problems with my thermostat not connecting. I contacted Salsus and a lovely man called Joseph C was assigned to me , he replied to all my emails and showed me what to try and bingo it’s now working!
Thank you very much Joseph for helping me get it working again . Very much appreciated.

Have an IT500 which is about 10 years…

Have an IT500 which is about 10 years old and for a smart meter not very sophisticated. Batteries died maybe 2 months ago but had not noticed as the unit isn't used in the summer.
Put new batteries in and it lost the hot water ability. (it had completely reset). Contacted support on Saturday and got a reply from Joseph first thing Monday morning who sorted the problem (press Cog and Up for 10 seconds to enter menu for 2 zone heating or 1 zone and hot water). Would not recommend the unit as better available now but Joseph's service was very good.
