Today, I met with Fernanda Strachman, who only graduated in July this year and has been at M1 for two weeks. Even the receptionist mentioned that she was very new to the clinic.

I had previously been treated by the excellent Dr Hritu Baral. After my first Botox treatment, I developed unpleasant compensatory lines around my eyes. At my second appointment, Dr Baral made small adjustments to the injection sites, and this resolved the problem. She told me that she had made notes in my records so that she, or future practitioners, could follow the approach that had worked for me.

Unfortunately, Dr Baral has left.

During my consultation with Fernanda Strachman today, she focused the discussion primarily on how many areas I wanted treated. I tried to explain my concerns about compensatory lines around my eyes and asked whether she could refer to Dr Baral’s notes. She replied that any notes Dr Baral had made would have been for “herself” rather than for other practitioners. I had always thought that medical records were intended to provide continuity of care.

I then asked how she would address the possibility of compensatory lines. Her response was that this can simply happen as part of Botox treatment. My own experience with Dr Baral tells me that injection technique can influence this outcome and that adjustments can help to minimise it. I also understand that it is possible to make small adjustments 14 days later to correct these lines. Fernanda Strachman did not mention this.

Fernanda Strachman also suggested that injections could be placed more widely. I was concerned because I am not medically qualified but had understood that injection placement is important in order to target the correct muscles and avoid unwanted effects, such as eyelid drooping. Dr Baral had moved the injection site lower, not wider. A quick search on the internet subsequently underscored my concerns about Fernanda Strachman’s suggested approach.

Overall, I did not feel confident that my previous treatment history and concerns had been fully considered. Patients considering treatment may wish to ask questions about a practitioner’s experience, how individual treatment records are used, and how specific concerns will be addressed.

Personally, after this experience, I will be choosing a more experienced practitioner in future.

London branch: This is now the second time I’ve taken time off work and travelled all the way to my appointment, only to be told that my treatment couldn’t go ahead because your system was down.

It would have been reasonable to inform patients in advance through any available communication channel, even a simple post on social media. I also called before my appointment to confirm, but nobody answered.

Unfortunately, this seems to reflect a wider issue with appointment organisation. If the system had been down for hours, there should have been a way to cancel or reschedule existing appointments and prevent new bookings from being made until the issue was resolved.

Having this happen twice has been extremely frustrating and has resulted in a significant waste of my time. I won’t be returning to the London branch.

I often visit Dr. Yuritza for Botox injections and I always love visiting. Yuri is super professional, always super friendly and takes her time to make you feel comfortable. She always gives advice on the best treatments to have rather than just doing what i ask and it feels like she genuinely cares about the outcome and helping me feel my best!

Dr Yuritza was very gentle and personable . She understood the natural approach and was very clear in the process and what to expect for my first time having Botox . Would definitely recommend !

I went in for a brow lift treatment and ended up with droopy eyelids instead. It has been incredibly frustrating, as I can no longer apply eyeliner properly without physically lifting my eyelid.
The consultation felt rushed, and I was steered towards the most expensive product without being given the opportunity to make my own decision.
When I contacted the clinic about the issue, I was told that "these things can occasionally happen" - sure but only when the person injecting doesn't have enough experience and doesnt know when injecting certain points will result in the opposite effects.
What makes this particularly disappointing is that my first experience at the clinic several years ago was very positive. Unfortunately, this visit was the complete opposite. The unsatisfactory result has left me questioning the level of expertise. Overall, a very disappointing experience and not one I would expect from a professional aesthetics clinic.

Amazing clinic, my go to!

I’ve been going to M1 for years and this is my second time seeing Hritu Baral for my Botox treatments. I couldn’t be happier with the results. Hritu is incredibly professional, attentive and really takes the time to listen to what you want. She takes her time during appointments and makes you feel completely comfortable throughout. The results always look natural, refreshed …beautifully done.

I always feel comfortable and confident in her care because she’s so knowledgeable, professional and skilled at what she does. Every appointment has been a great experience and I always leave feeling happy with the results.
