iQ Professional Home Fitting
Nextbase now offers a professional fitting service conducted by our partner and their trained engineers. This standalone service is for customers that have already purchased a Nextbase Dash Cam. Fitting can be at a place of your choosing, including your home or workplace (within UK mainland), to offer the ultimate convenience. The team of trained fitters can hardwire your Nextbase dash cam into a range of vehicles including cars, lorries, trucks, and vans. They will mount dash cam to your windscreen, ensuring it gets the optimum viewing angle, and connect it your fuse box meaning no wires are on show. The skilled engineers can hardwire in any of the current dash cam range, including rear camera modules when purchased direct from our site. Sold out

How it works? The Professional Home Fitting includes the Nextbase Hardwire Kit (RRP £25) in the cost of purchase. This will be delivered to you prior to the installation with the team. The RS Connect team of fitters will be in touch via text message shortly after the order is placed to arrange a suitable date and time for installation. Our partners, RS Connect also offer a home fitting service when ordering a Dash Cam via our website. This 'standalone' service is primarily for those that have already purchased a Dash Cam and would like it professionally installed.
Disclaimer The fitters will only fit brand new Nextbase Dash Cams purchased either directly via the Nextbase website, or via an approved retailer. Please be aware that spare adhesive mounting pads are provided inside the box in case of any change of vehicle or failure. We are happy to offer a replacement adhesive plate in accordance with our 12-month warranty policy should it be needed. The RS Connect installation service does not cover revisits for the purpose of reapplying a new adhesive to your windscreen. Home fitting appointment times vary, but normally fall within 1-2 weeks. During the busy seasons (Black Friday and Christmas) these times will be affected. (No Rear Window Camera Cable supplied) Installation Questions + Why should I get my Dash Cam professionally fitted? It gives you a neat and tidy connection in your vehicle as no wires are on sight. Recommended for use with the Intelligent Parking Mode feature on all models, particularly when using a Rear Camera model too. The hardwire kit ensures you always stay connected and you never need to worry about knocking the cigarette lighter socket out of place. It frees up your 12V power supply to use with other devices – e.g. charging your phone.

After booking when purchasing iQ bundle, was contacted by both text and email and offered earlier date which wasn't suitable, but was contacted again and got booked in. Contacted to confirm ETA, then job was carried out in very professional manner in approx 90 mins. Car is an estate and the rear camera cable was routed through the existing cable conduit to be completely concealed. Very professional job altogether.

I was not informed or instructed about product use. Consequently I don’t know how to use the cameras. Very disappointed with Nextbase, I wouldn’t recommend them to anybody.

I paid extra for the professional home fitting service, but the rear camera did not work from the day it was installed due to a faulty cable. It took weeks of emails, troubleshooting and another installation visit before the issue was finally resolved. I expected the system to be fully tested before the installer left, especially after paying for professional installation. Overall, this was not the level of service I expected, and I do not believe the installation represented good value for money.

The installation quality is excellent and definitely worth the price—I highly recommend it. However, there is one major downside: the communication. I wasn't informed beforehand about their arrival time. Furthermore, if you don't meet them immediately, they might leave after only 15 minutes, and you could lose your money. They really should provide better advance notice

Engineer turn up it was raining tried saying that he couldn't do it because of the rain, no shelter for the car. Car wet not very professional

Fitting was OK however, the installation could not be verified as working correctly until a subscription was confirmed. By that time the installation engineer was long gone.
