Disappointing quality overall. The panelling looked reasonably priced, but unfortunately at least half of what I received had noticeable defects. There was a real mix of bowed/curved pieces, splits, cracks, chipped and frayed ends, rough or poorly sanded edges, knots/holes, dents, sanded divots, rounded edges, scratches and other marks. The faces had very noticeable swirl/pigtail sanding marks throughout, and the stain/finish seemed uneven in places. Some of the defects are significant enough that I won’t use some pieces in my project. Delivery was later than arranged, with no update on the expected day, but arrived early next morning. Delivery guy was a top bloke. Unfortunately, overall quality was well below what I expected. For the price, I wasn’t expecting absolute perfection, but I did expect the panelling to be straight, finished and in a condition ready to use. But it’s mostly fine, I’m capable of sanding and refinishing the straight pieces, spacing for missing ones, and can hide some of the smaller defects through careful placement. Just ideally didn’t fancy spending a weekend reworking a new purchase.
