We’ve been using Thunderbird rescue balm for the last year and has been a lifesaver in our household. Our child had severe eczema, for 4 years it’s been a constant struggle to keep eczema under control.

We’ve tried hundreds of different lotions - which hurt my child’s skin when applying and ointments - which don’t absorb well. Applying them (multiple times a day) was always a battle. Clothes would also get ruined from the ointment.

Then we found Thunderbird. No nasty ingredients, absorbs into the skin much faster than ointments, and the battles to apply them are gone. In general, our child’s skin is becoming less often inflamed. I feel like I’m finally able to get eczema under control.

One point of improvement is that some batches have crumbs - mostly when we buy the bulk ones - and then it takes longer to let the ointment melt in the palm of your hand.

But this will be the only brand we’ll use for our children moving forward. A god send!

Poor customer service, the tiny paid sample that was sent was leaking in the packaging and they wouldn’t accept that they had done it! I have yet to try the actual product but their patronising response has put me off ever buying from them again.

I tried this on my legs for several weeks and it did nothing to get rid of the eczema. I also tried it on my face and it made it more red and inflamed. This was an extremely expensive product and it's very disappointing that it didn't work.

After only 3 days I'm seeing and feeling a marked improvement in my chronic eczema. Steroids had left the skin on my hands fragile, thin and prone to breaking and bleeding. Nothing else gave more than temporary relief. This is a game changer, have ordered more

First time using the rescue balm. I have really bad psoriasis on my face and inside of my ears. I get Terrible ear infections due to the itching of the psoriasis and I've tried so much. 3 days in and the itching has calmed alot on my ears and face. Weirdly my hands have reacted to the product but that's just my weird skin lol. If it's working on my face I'll power through. Feeling hopeful for now :)

Love this Rescue Balm. Not only does it keep my skin soft all day and night (which is a lot longer than what I was using before). It calms my psoriasis and it’s now starting to clear up - the more I use it the better my skin gets. Will be buying more and trying some different items too. Love it- thank you so much.

The Rescue Balm has done wonders for my psoriasis. It helps to moisturise the skin and it has stopped most of the itching. It soaks in really well and is the best thing I've used on psoriasis.
When I've purchased the balm (twice now) it arrives promptly and well-packaged.

I have had mixed experiences with this company. On the one hand their Resue Balm is one of the best I have ever used and I shall rebuy, but on the other hand, their website is as disappointing as those of every other brand out there - because they have made it impossible to leave a review. No button anywhere - not on the home page, on in my account, or anywhere else that I can detect - it should not be this hard to find. It should be made obvious. You would think that a company producing something that is this well loved, they would really want you to shout about it. If it were me, the first thing you would see when getting onto the home page, is a round badge saying 'click here to leave a review' to encourage people to do just that, but no.... and after ages searching and finding no way to do so (as if I really have time for that....), I have offiicially given up and so am now reduced to leaving one here, which is just annoying. I feel Thunderbirds should know better. I am also only giving them 3 stars for this poor show. Buck up Thunderbirds and start making it easy for people! Update: got a response from them, but still no link. Very helpful. Not. All in all I've sent them four messages and not a single person resent me the email or a link. I give up.

I love the rescue balm. I have red blotchy skin and have struggled to find something that keeps it under control - it's the best product I've found for it. Bought a tin to try it and have just restocked on a big bag.

Beware both this company and especially their Rescue Balm which is recommended for psoriasis. Carefully did a skin test which was ok so applied it to my psoriasis and firstly, it stings like hell, and I've got to say it's made the area more itchy and on top of that, the area now feels really sore and is red raw. I contacted the company...bottom line they will neither refund or replace! To be honest it sounded like they didn't give a toss. £20 + down the drain. I've asked for a call back from a manager as the young man who answered my call seems tied to a jobsworth script. The manager, if there actually is one, seems to be somewhat elusive too. So a company that's happy to take people's money without taking responsibility for negative consequences caused by their product which is not fit for purpose. I will NOT let this rest. UPDATE yes, I did flood their Facebook page with a copy of this review as a company who are not prepared to take on customer complaints re reactions to their products with any gravity need to be exposed for what they are. They are only interested in taking your money and NOT concerned in the slightest about your wellbeing. Huge rip off.

contacted them as one of the bottles i received was not even half full of cream - sent pictures and they still would not accept their was a problem. would not purchase from them again. price they charge for products and the containers are not even full!!!!

As a skincare buff I usually go with proven products, specialists companies etc and to be honest I gave the sample pack a try as an impulse buy… HOWEVER - not even a week later I was convinced to completely replace my full routine with thunderbird! So I have now chucked everything else and do a full AM & PM and my skin is so happy, so am I! Will definitely stick to these! Also the value - size - usage is really good! Thanks!

Amazing company.

My 9 year old has really bad eczema in the inside of her elbows and shoulders, she had another flare up and after trying everything from steroids to oils absolutely nothing was working, she was itchy and sore. Saw this add on Instagram and clicked it, thought it's worth a try and ordered the rescue balm Thursday night and was delivered yesterday (Saturday) morning, used it a few times throughout the day and she woke up today with the itch and pain gone and the red eczema patches not a light pink colour. I honestly cannot believe it, I have tried so many things throughout the years with nothing really helping so I am in absolutely disbelief that this stuff has helped her so much in 24 hours! Safe to say I'm going to purchase more of this balm!

Bought a tester pot of Rescue Balm after seeing rave reviews on social media advertising, within 2 days of using it I’ve had a massive reaction to it, skin bright red angry and very itchy. The list of ingredients is a mile long and I wish I’d have done some research before applying it, that if you’ve already got a compromised skin barrier this is just far too much! Luckily I only bought a small tester. Use with caution - I can see lots of people have had great reviews but honestly I feel like it’s burned my skin!

I bought some Rescue balm from Thunderbird Skin for my 19 year old daughter. Her eczema had flared up and after using it for just 2 days her skin was almost back to normal. She was so pleased with the results. Thank you so much. We have since placed another order.

I purchased the Rescue Cream for my 13 year old son as his eczema has got so much worse since he hit puberty. Steroid creams were having no effect and I hated the fact that emollients contain flammable ingredients that also didn't help.
We've used the Rescue Cream for about a month now, twice a day. His skin has improved so much, he had lots of small itchy patches all over his arms and they've now gone. His leg eczema is always the most stubborn and it hasn't fully healed but they do look a lot better. I would highly recommend giving this cream a shot, especially when dermatolagist prescribed treatments have had no effect and can cause lasting damage.

It is a shame that this company has a bad reputation for customer service because their product is genuinely good. Higher price point, so you do expect higher service. However, just from going to the website and seeing that there is only one option for postage, a £3.99 standard fee (no cheaper options even with the trial sized minis) I knew immediately that it wasn’t going to be a company based on making customers happy. The product is good, but it’s clear that it has a way to go in terms of developing a more customer-centric approach.
With more attention to customer care, they could easily turn their reputation around.

Second time I’ve ordered from Thunderbird Skin and both times I’ve been very impressed. First time I ordered the rescue balm and it solved my eczema when nothing else had. Second time I bought the cream along with the balm and calming tonic. The cream I found wasn’t as effective unfortunately and in my opinion smells horrible, but the tonic smells lovely and has a very nice cooling effect.

This treatment only irritated my skin further. Heightened itching, redness and inflammation. What a waste of time, money and the hopefulness I had.
