Visited the Glasgow store to pick up a backpack and hiking boots. Daniel was incredibly polite, friendly, and helpful throughout the entire process. He made finding the right gear so easy. Highly recommend!

Returned again today to the store to purchase some new walking boots for my hillwalking club and the boy I was dealing with, Daniel K, had excellent knowledge of the footwear and what would be best suited for me. 10/10 experience! Thank you :)

I went to Blacks Glasgow a few days ago to buy a pair of walking boots. Have been assisted by Elizabeth and Liz. Elizabeth stayed with me also when I came back the next day to try more options. Very helpful, professional and supportive staff members.

Popped in today for a hat and anti-blister socks for the Kiltwalk tomorrow and Liz and her colleague were super helpful and friendly. Thanks for making my visit so enjoyable and I’ll definitely visit again.

I had an exceptional time at Blacks in Glasgow city centre today. Went in and asked where the hiking socks and boots were, had a look as I directed to them.

When I asked a member of staff, Andrew, about his recommendations based on needs of one pair of waterproof socks and some others he gave great and detailed advice. I also asked about the boots and he gave recommendations and was clear about what would be best if I were to also be wearing them out and about in town too. He understood that I had a preference toward fitness and recommended the barefoot boots which promote foot strength.

When I went upstairs and had questions about kfs kits, stoves, and tents which would also be good for music festivals, Holly was able to help me out massively. I mentioned briefly near the end of our conversation that I had been looking at the boots and shoes, she actually recommended a conversation with Andrew specifically, whom I had already spoken to. She gave great insights be camping for festivals and for fun generally and had useful anecdotes with stories behind her opinions on different pieces of kit and the brands based on her own experiences. I would definitely recommend going to anyone unsure about anything outdoorsy. I will absolutely be going back again!

Ordered online two different sizes of walking shoes as I wasn't sure what size would be best. Easy return and refund system in place. All I needed was order number to return in shop .

I ordered pair of walking shoes for a birthday present I paid extra for next day service never arrived then got text the following day from DPD for deliver we had issues at hub (really don’t know how many times I’ve heard that from them) they would deliver Saturday between 3.30/4.45 had to leave my work as they would deliver then and driver would only leave if I gave a PIN code hours so I was there from 2.30 guess what never came. I couldn’t contact blacks customer service Monday to Friday only sent two emails to them telling them to cancel delivery. I paid £5.95 for next day 5 days later hadn’t heard from them or DPD I called eventually after language barrier they agreed full refund inc extra charge guess what they deducted carrier. Hopeless they’re loss I buy 4/5 pairs of gortex trainer walking shoes a year.

I'm up in years , my daughter suggested that I look at a good warm jacket for winter, this Rab Axiom was the best jacket I've had in years , warm but light to wear, stylish, true to size , quick delivery and a very reasonable price excellent in every way ,I would recommend 5*****

Well with the end of the month approaching and Christmas around the corner if thought I’d kill two birds with one stone and so blacks it was . A new jacket and boots for myself and my son got Jacket trousers socks and boots . I take my hat off to Frances and her team . It doesn’t matter if I’m buying a hat or an expensive jacket I’m always treated the same and made to feel welcomed. Frances and her team know there product knowledge and always I might add point me in the right direction. It’s a pleasure to shop in there and I just wish every other shop had that feel good factor but sadly not . I hope your company hand out awards because Frances and her team deserve one . I always leave feeling incredibly happy to know that this customer service still exists. Merry Xmas to everyone at Blacks .

Visited Argyle Street store today to look at Winter/ Trail Shoes got great advice from Andrew on my required type of shoe for my wide feet and Achilles problems, also shoe inserts. No pressure sales and very patient as I tried on a few pairs .bought x2 pairs of Peter Storm winter shoes and inserts

Dan (Top Floor) was brilliant in helping me pick out waterproof gear for the winter. He is extremely knowledgeable and friendly, gave me more confidence that I was making the right decision and spending my money wisely!

I visited this store to purchase some supplies for my upcoming camping safari in Kenya/Tanzania.

Upon entering the store I was warmly greeted by Daniel K who was more than happy to assist me in sourcing what I needed. He was extremely knowledgeable about the products I was looking for and very polite and very helpful.

I was then served by Layla at the tills - who was also remarkably polite and friendly and very bubbly.

I will most definitely be returning to this shop in future. Thanks to the wonderful service and warmth I received from these staff members.
