Went to the AD today in Bath (Ernest Jones) to buy a khaki mechanical. Very disappointing experience. Assistant clueless, knew nothing about Hamilton or watches, did nothing to encourage to part me with my money. Came away underwhelmed, disappointed and money still in the bank.

It really made my day, and shows what lovely people work here. I personally would always come here just because the people here were very kind to me.
Shocking service from Ernest Jones in Bath. Avoid this company/outlet at all costs. I left a Baume and Mercier watch for a service on 31st October 2025 and was advised that the process could take three months. Admittedly, they apologised, explaining that Baume and Mercier are a family owned company and have slow lead times in relation to servicing. That was readily accepted. I chased the watch service a few weeks ago as I have heard nothing (now four months later). I have been called today to be told that the service will take a further sixteen weeks. When I asked to have my watch returned, I was told by the staff member that she didn't know how long this would take. So, no watch, no service and no return date. Take care before choosing to buy from or use the services of this company.

All of the staff in bath were exceptional in particular David I can honestly say he made the experience a pleasure not at all pushy and extremely knowledgeable also great banter ! and to address the negative
review I saw I can quite honestly say this is rubbish!

We bought a watch for our daughter's 18th. The manager who served us was friendly, patient, knowledgeable and helpful, stating we could have a full refund if she did not like it. She did like it and we popped in around two weeks later to have the metal strap adjusted which was done on the spot. On this occasion we were greeted by another member of staff, a marketing student at Bath university, who was also friendly and helpful. We have read the other reviews and are amazed any of them are negative given the friendly and efficient service we received.
Visited the bath store today and was served by a fantastic sales assistant who helped me with what I needed… I told the manager and he wasn’t really that bothered so I would properly get rid of him and promote the young lad who served me had a lot better people skills

Very disappointing experience we had in this shop specifically with the sales guy in this particular branch in Bath (tall, slim, white/grey hair, wearing specs). You can feel the discrimination towards us. Lack of interest to accomodate us.

Bought a diamond ring that 50% off , still £1500 . A diamond came out after 6 months , took it back to shop , they sent it off to workshop . Workshop says I knocked it out . No proof even though i asked for it . Just "thats what the worshop says".I only wore it alternate weekends so 12 times max. They offered 20% discount on £365 to replace it. Took it to 2 differen jewellers who see no obvious damage to cause it to fall out. One wouldn't touch it for repair . Another will reset the diamond for £170 . Ernest Jones are a rip off and unhelpfull .

Went in today with my sister as she wanted some rings cleaned and re-coated and a watch repaired. Greeted by the assistant manager Craig who was very pleasant and helpful. I then decided to have my engagement ring and wedding band polished and cleaned, he said to pop back after we had lunch. Returned and was like two brand new rings, literally couldn’t believe it. Will definitely be going back to the Bath store with all my old rings to get them cleaned. Fantastic service.

Went in for a watch bracelet readjustment and was welcomed warmly and treated fantastically by all the staff, especially the manager. Will definitely shop here for watches in future when back in Bath.
Well, feeling devastated.
My husband bought my engagement ring just over three years ago. Took it in to have it re-coated in July and manage it collect it on the morning of our wedding. Three days later, the stone fell out. Took it back to the store the next day to be told it needs to be looked at. Wait four weeks for a reply to be told it's going to cost £1250 as one of the claws have broken. I was never told at anytime that it needed repairing. The cost is more than what we paid for the ring. An engagement ring is ment to last a lifetime not just three years. Ring is still with them as I can't afford to pay so now I'm without my engagement ring.

Spotted a watch I liked (and wanted). Went in (staff very pleasant and helpful). Looked at the watch, said I'd buy it (on 0% plan). Application made (Hitachi Finance). Application declined. Thanked the person serving me and left.
I was puzzled, so, when I returned home I bought the watch on-line from Goldsmiths (on 0% plan) with V12 Finance.
So EJ lost the sale.
Perhaps EJ needs to look at their arrangement with HF (just saying).
