I had my hair transplant for my front corners around 7 days ago. Whilst the recovery has been tough (like for any clinical procedure) my experience with the KSL clinic has been excellent. I had been researching hair transplant for years and a couple of years ago I found KSL through my own research and then eventually through referrals of people I knew (3 in total). I knew I would not mind the cost if it was done properly and with a trustworthy team (instead of going to a random clinic in Turkey).
The consultation team are very knowledgeable and can answer all questions about how to maximise the success of the procedure.
After you book it, they will share the pre-op and post-op instructions which are incredibly clear and if you follow them you are golden.
The day of the procedure the staff are incredibly welcoming and accommodating. Dr. Nishal explained every step of the way and respected my opinion, specially when drawing the hairline. He was very thorough, triple-checking everything, and he and the nurses were very careful that I was comfortable all the way.
I am really forward to my results and will update my review once they are more visible!

Third PRP session at KSL with Louise. Always polite and great to talk to whilst undergoing the treatment. Won’t lie, it does still sting no matter your experience but it’s only a few times a year for good results.

Everyone helped me to feel at ease throughout the process and I am very excited to see the results.

Had my PRP session today with Louise. I also saw Brooke and another member of staff who as always were friendly and professional whilst making me feel relaxed . Louise talked me through the procedure , told me my options and again make me feel relaxed . We had a lovely chat while she did the procedure and it was done with no pain at all , she advised me on the after care and was very professional. all in all I would recommend KSL all of there staff are lovely and it was a great experience X

The day of the transplant i was made very welcome and everything was explained to me which relaxed me greatly. The 3 people who worked on my transplant were friendly and professional.

The coordination team were fantastic, everything ran smoothly from start to finish, and on the day Dr Zeeshan and his team were amazing. They put me completely at ease, had a laugh and joke with me throughout, and just made the whole thing feel relaxed rather than clinical.
Honestly the procedure itself was easy, I listened to music, dozed off for a bit, and didn't feel any pain at all. The aftercare has been just as good, they're genuinely reachable whenever you need them. I'm 8 days post surgery now and really happy with how things are progressing.
If you're on the fence about getting a hair transplant, don't overthink it, go with KSL. I looked around a lot before deciding and I'm really glad I ended up here.

I wouldn’t give KSL Maidstone and Dr Matee a one-star review, as there were positive aspects to my experience from the 30/11/2024 procedure, However, now looking back, I do wish I had spent more time researching and comparing other clinics before making my decision.

The process begins with a consultation from a sales representative, which felt quite rehearsed and sales-focused. During my consultation, I was told a story about the representative’s friend/family having a hair transplant, which may well have been genuine, but it felt like part of a well-practised sales pitch. Unfortunately, I did not meet the surgeon who would be performing the procedure until the actual day of surgery. In my opinion, meeting the surgeon beforehand would have provided greater confidence and reassurance.

On the day of the procedure, everything went smoothly, and I found the staff to be polite, professional, and attentive throughout. My main concern relates to the design of my hairline. It was drawn on using a white pencil, no use of lasers for hairline measurement, mapping, and design. Now that I can fully assess the final result, I feel the hairline is not as straight or symmetrical as it should be. I appreciate that no one has a perfectly straight natural hairline, but the outcome is noticeable enough that KSL themselves acknowledged the issue and offered to correct it.

In addition, I do not feel the transplanted area is as dense as I had expected based on the discussions before the procedure. While there has certainly been growth and improvement, the overall density falls short of what I had hoped for given the significant investment involved.

While I appreciate KSL’s willingness to address my concerns, I feel these issues should have been avoided in the first place. The result is not terrible, and I am not completely dissatisfied, which is why I would not leave a one-star review. However, I would strongly encourage anyone considering a hair transplant to do thorough research, speak with multiple clinics, and ensure they are completely comfortable with the process before committing.

Had a consultation discussing various options for hair care a few months back. Friendly staff, clean clinic and overall good experience. I will be doing PRP treatment to see how it improves hair density and quality.

This is mainly a review of the surgery day itself and the first few weeks after the procedure. I’ll need to do an update in 12–18 months once the full results are visible.

My procedure was to add density to the crown area and improve my hairline, which had started to thin.

Dr Nishal carried out the surgery along with two colleagues. Everyone was extremely friendly and professional throughout.

I live about an hour away from the clinic. It’s not recommended to drive after surgery, but I drove home and personally felt fine. The main thing is being extremely careful not to knock your head getting in and out of the car. I accidentally hit my head getting out and completely panicked about the damage I might have caused. There was a slight bit of bleeding, but everything seems absolutely fine. Driving itself wasn’t the issue — it was more about being careful with movement and avoiding any accidental knocks.

The procedure lasted one full day. The most painful part was definitely the injections used to numb the scalp, especially around the areas above the ears where it’s more sensitive.

Once the anaesthetic kicks in, the procedure itself is painless. In the morning, several hours are spent removing grafts from the donor area. That was probably the most uncomfortable part because you have to lie face down and stay fairly still. After that, things get much easier. You can sit back, watch Netflix, and relax while the channels are created and the grafts are placed. I managed to get through two films during that part of the day.

Recovery is roughly 14 days. If possible, I would recommend taking at least the first week off work. The first night was the hardest for me. I probably slept for only two hours, but that was more due to the discomfort of sleeping upright with a neck pillow than actual pain.

Removing the bandages on day one was something I was not looking forward to, but it was painless and there was no bleeding. Each day after that became progressively easier.

The transplant area itself caused me almost no pain during recovery. Most of my discomfort came from the donor area at the back of the head. I found ibuprofen helped the most, and by around day 10 I no longer needed pain relief.

By day 12 the scabs were starting to come away naturally. I tried not to touch them, but it’s difficult because the area becomes itchy as it heals. I found myself gently massaging the scalp during washing to help remove loose scabs. At one point I noticed hairs attached to some scabs and panicked because it looked like entire grafts had come out. After researching it online, I found this is very common and that the grafts are usually securely anchored after the first few days.

At the time of writing this review, I am three weeks post-surgery. At this stage it’s mainly a case of waiting for the hair growth cycle to do its thing. I haven’t experienced much shedding yet, although I understand that is normal and expected before regrowth begins. The hairline already looks promising. I’m not personally a fan of the buzz-cut look, so I’m definitely looking forward to getting some length back.

I recommend to anyone following the advice from KSL is to do the aftercare after your hair transplant and get PRP booked in as soon as possible.

As also the staff look after you and make you feel welcome. Looking forward to my next session.
