Terrible service

Terrible service. Booked a service and was told my boiler wasn't working at all, but still charged for the service. The boiler was working fine the next day. When I complained and asked for the service to still be carried out, I was told I would be charged again for another visit.

Hi Helen,

I find it very disappointing that you’ve taken to TrustPilot to write this about my business, but as you have I’d like to air my side of the story.

We had our appointment booked in, which was a boiler service, the one that you didn’t even remember was booked in When I arrived, the boiler didn’t work, which I did show you in person so you could see I wasn’t fabricating a lie. I diagnosed the fault and said I’d send you a quote to repair, which I did straight away. However, I charge for my time, whether it’s a diagnosis or a service, as I have spent many hours diagnosing faults with boilers to then never hearing from the client again, meaning I have lost hours of my time not earning anything, you were happy to pay the bill but have now left me bad reviews online which I find is a bit unfair.

We are very transparent with our costs and terms and conditions, we are known for outstanding customer service and workmanship as you can see from our reviews online and website.

Once again we apologise for any offence we may have caused.

Appalling Customer Service

We visited the Brighton store to return a pram with a dangerous fault. We were treated appallingly be almost everyone we spoke to, including the manager. It took over an hour and six members of staff before we were finally able to exchange the pram for a different model. I complained to the Complaimts department and received a standard email fobbing me off. Mothercare are hard to avoid for small purchases when you have a child, but I would definitely advise people to avoid giving them more money than they had to - and avoid the Expedia range!
