We had the doors and windows fitted in December 2025. The fitters were pleasant, efficient and fast. There have been a couple of minor issues with the locking mechanisms for the door and one window, but the company returned promptly (next day) to remedy the situation. I am very pleased with both the quality of the doors and windows and the after service. I highly recommend the company.

An engineer turned up today to fix a small problem with our door. He corrected it within a matter of minutes and was professional and pleasant to deal with throughout. Thanks!

Came within 15 minutes for an issue covered under warranty. Jenny And Dan ( the dynamic duo ) were so diligent, professional and caring it made our weekend.

This was a relatively straightforward job to replace bi-fold terrace doors with wooden frames in a top floor flat. These were installed by the developers nine years ago and caused endless problems.

Marcus visited on 31 January and confirmed that the wooden doors were too heavy, not fit for purpose and needed replacing with aluminium frames. He sent us the quote very quickly and we paid the deposit on 8 February.

As we hadn't been given an installation date by early March, I contacted the company. It appeared the job had fallen off the radar as I was told the doors could only be ordered after an on site visit by one of their surveyors. It was arranged that Danny would complete the specification on 19 March.

The installation on 24 April went smoothly apart from the fact that the fitters had not brought any external trims. They said they would return with these a few days later. When this didn't happen, I contacted the company to find it wasn't aware of the problem. We arranged for the work to be completed on 10 May.

Although getting the new doors took much longer than expected, the end result is exactly what we wanted. The company was very responsive when things did go wrong which made a big difference.

Fantastic customer service and great product. Danny led me through the whole process, discussed various options, helped me make the decision and delivered a fantastic product (sliding doors) on time. He even helped me choose my patio tiles ! Would not hesitate to recommend Danny

We’ve been really happy with our doors and windows since they were installed. Two of our doors had dropped slightly since installation, but they’ve been swiftly corrected by Daniel and work like new! Jenny was fantastic scheduling the service appointment, and they went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. Great service!

We had our bifold doors installed with 1st folding just over 10 years ago, we were so impressed with the quality of the product and the professional service we received that we then went on to have our entire house fitted with their windows and doors.

Marcus and his crew have been fantastic to work with, the fitters have always been tidy and polite, especially Richard and Dan!

Nine years down the line we had a problem with one of the integrated blind panels, we spoke to Jenny (she must be the most efficient and professional customer service person I have ever dealt with) and within a few days someone had come round to rectify the issue.

We are now in the process of getting an extension built with a frameless roof lantern and have once again chosen them for the project. One of the reasons I will be returning is their exceptional ability to deal with any issues, which I’ve found is quite a rarity with companies these days. Finding a great product is one thing but finding a company who will stand by their product, and not come up with 101 excuses as to why it’s not covered in the guarantee, is a totally different ball game.

I have always been delighted with my bifold doors which were installed by 1stslidingfoldingdoors about eight years ago now. Daniel has been today to adjust my doors as part of the ten year maintenance guarantee and he fitted a new hinge for me that I wasn’t aware was broken. Daniel’s customer service and skill set is absolutely excellent and I would thoroughly recommend this company for purchasing bifold doors. Jenny whom I contacted in customer service was also extremely helpful and efficient too.

Danny and the team at 1stFolding did a great job. We had 2.6m high OS-20 sliding doors installed in 3 separate locations. There were a a number of issues, primarily caused by the manufacturing process, however Danny took ownership and worked directly with my builder to get all problems resolved in time for Christmas. I have no hesitation in recommending them.

We used 1st Folding several years ago. I highly recommend this company. Excellent service in fitting and a couple of minor issues since fitting have been swiftly sorted. From customer service team in the office through to engineers on site - friendly, good communication and fast efficient work. The reassurance of a 10 year guarantee that has been completely upheld.

Excellent service on the installation and back up on completion. Dan and Jenny clearly have pride and enthusiasm in their work.

We have used 1st Sliding Doors services for three properties to date and regularly recommend them to anyone wanting glazings from amazing sliding doors, skylights, windows and doors. Most recently we had pleasure of Daniel and Jenny visiting our home who installed replacement glazing for us. They were both polite, friendly and professional. They arrived on time following a phone call to give me an anticipated time. They did a great job, tidy and kept us informed of what to expect. Thank you guys a real credit to Sliding Doors.

Very poor experience of product, fitting and resolution of significant issues. Still not resolved after many months.

The quality of their product is as good as the customer service is bad.

We had to wait several weeks for a confirmed delivery date after placing one of multiple orders with them. They sent us 3 versions of the same invoice with different prices and it took several phone calls - from us - to eventually get the correct invoice and price.

Then, when delivery eventually happened, the WRONG windows turned up. So once again it was entirely down to me to chase them up, find out what went wrong, and try to get a new delivery for the CORRECT windows. At no point did they accept responsibility for their mistake and nor did they apologise.

Finally, when the CORRECT windows were delivered and installed (weeks later), we then get 3 emails in 6 days because... surprise surprise... they want their money.

It's a shame they have no idea how to treat customers because the windows do seem good quality. But I will not use them again and I will not recommend them based on my poor experience.

Terrible, Waste of Time and Money.

We had a meeting with 1st Folding Sliding Doors 6 weeks ago after having had provided them with architect drawings and them giving us a quote. We booked site survey for the following week and were told we would have drawings of our two french doors and roof glazing (lean to). Since then, it was such a struggle for them to provide us with drawings of our plans. It was always a ‘they will be emailed tomorrow’. They would then send partial drawings…another week of calling and asking for full drawings. Drawings then were sent with the wrong details…more chasing on our part…complaints emails were sent and manager didn’t even bother replying until eventually we posted our feedback on Instagram and we were IMMEDIATELY blocked, we then got a phone call to try and work things out. That was a 7 days ago and still NOTHING!! This now means that I will have to go back to the drawing board finding a new supplier and will push our project back 6 weeks and will have a massive knock on effect of delays. When doing a project we all know that TIME IS MONEY and this has now cost us dearly (rent plus mortgage as we are not living in the property). They will probably blame this on COVID delays…but this goes beyond that. This is a typical issue of OVER PROMISING (to get your business) AND NOT DELIVERING. If it sounds too good to be true, that’s because it is…particularly with this company. DO NOT FALL FOR IT. They talk the talk but can’t deliver.

The company was invited on site during a kitchen extension in 2017 to survey and fit high spec bifolds. After surveying they were adamant we need to sign the track position on contract before processing the order. Because our screed was still not in place and we requested to finish in line with the track. We even brought the builders on board to assist and laser markings were taken. The company put precise figures to the millimeter on contract and their own surveyor followed up on the phone to confirm everything was clear and agreed.

After the installation completed they signed off and ask for payment. Little did we know that they left site without verifying and surveying the work against their own contract. As a result the building works continued, only for us to find out the track is in the wrong position after two months, when floors went down. That left us with an ugly tripping lip to the garden over our floors.

They completely ignored communications and dismissed the issue from the very first moment, arguing that the floor was wrong. We ended up making countless efforts to mediate with their own association. When one of the directors finally came on site, four months later, they attempted to put the blame on the floors. While on site their own measurements showed the system was off the mark. They went on making excuses and then offered to move the doors in position on condition we covered all remedial damage costs at the property i.e outside render, plaster, decorations, accidental damages etc. They even dared suggest we did not check their work for them before completing our building. This was the most absurd thing I have ever heard in my life.

I invited them to agree the exact dimensions from their own contract, even suggested we appoint an independent surveyor but they were completely dismissive all the way. They went on to prove the earth is flat. They pulled out of every communication and even refused to go to arbitration.

Eventually I appointed an independent expert who confirmed there was significant error and the installed system was shorter against the contract. The company received ample notices and we finally ended up in court as they refused to carry out the works or settle for remedial damages. They even had the cheek to issue a ridiculous counterclaim for loss of time, after wasting me valuable time chasing and emailing them for months.The case continues.

Avoid at any cost, a truly decent business would respect their signed contracts and foremost their clients.
