Hi John,
Please note your etched model is formed by creating hundreds of thousands - millions of microbubbles/fractions within the crystal forming what you see.
Obviously, this is done within the crystal and given the nature of a crystal (a form of glass) the environment the crystal is situated has a big impact on how strong the etching will be without a light. iI the crystal is put against a dark background that will give contrast and make it much more visible without the need of a light.
In addition, if placed in the middle of a room without any bright background close to the crystal that will also give it a great look. what you want to stay away from when not using the light is putting it up against or very close to a bright background like a white wall.

Beautiful Necklace
I ordered a cute 2D necklace and pendant with a picture of Elton John on it, and it turned out beautifully! It looks very high quality, special and expensive, but for the price of about $50 it was actually quite a bargain, and I'm really, really pleased! It also came to my house in 2 DAYS after ordering it, so thanks for that GREAT fast shipping! All of my friends and family LOVE it, and think it's so unique. They have checked out 3D Innovation as a result. I can't stop recommending this, I love my necklace and I am interested in other creations as well!
