I recently completed switching to a new second charge mortgage with Access Money. Laura, James and Andy at Access Money have been fantastic from start to finish! I recently completed a second charge mortgage following the completion of an IVA, so this was very much an adverse-credit case and not straightforward.
From the outset, the advice was realistic and transparent. Rather than over-promising or pushing unsuitable options, the broker took the time to explain how lenders would view a recently completed IVA, what was achievable in the current market, and how to structure the borrowing sensibly given my wider mortgage position.
The lender sourced was West One, which is a well-known and credible specialist lender, and the terms offered were exactly in line with what you would expect for a post-IVA case. All fees, rates, and early repayment charges were clearly disclosed upfront, and there were no surprises during the process.
What I particularly appreciated was the focus on the medium-term strategy — ensuring the second charge worked as a temporary solution while keeping the door open to refinancing back to a mainstream lender once my credit profile continues to improve.
Overall, the process was handled professionally, honestly, and efficiently. If you’re in a similar position with adverse credit or a completed IVA and need clear, realistic advice, I’d have no hesitation in recommending this service.

From start to finish Andy and Laura have been amazing, they have kept me upto speed, been clear and precise with everything. From submission to completion in less than a week, and my case was NOT straightforward!

Before I tried access I used two other brokers who promised the world, never communicated and took months to finally get a rejection.
