I am a licensed Social Worker of 31 years. I have been managing a high caseload and sometimes did not have enough growth-learning time regarding reading and taking up-dated courses on grief. I have just completed my Foundations Grief Counseling and have incorporated and digested new ideas and concepts and re-visited important legal considerations as a credential grief-informed practitioner. This course has been awesome and I encourage anyone to be involved in this course for an overall encompassing learning journey!

I love studying at my own pace
I love studying at my own pace. I like the breakdown of how and why each topic in a module works. I'm happy with the classes I take!! I'm learning new approaches to my topic instead of the old, invalidated ones for grievers. I never knew it was for end-of-life pts and not real grievers. I just knew it didn't work for me when I was grieving over my husband. Knowing this now helps me as I learn to help others. I came here because I took two years of Thanatology, and I needed to get credentialed at some point. My loss was traumatic. I am now learning to help others, not as a retired nurse going back to the floor, but as a grief practitioner, with a clear definition of how to structure it all.

Im only on Module 1 and I have been learning alot. Its a great course for those who want to help out people with cancer heal using their framework. Its very well written, methodological, systematic and its intricate but there's a lot of clarity on understanding about cancer and how the gap in conventional care should be sustained and filled in so we can support more people with cancer and I am driven with that purpose cause I lost my loved one of cancer.
