Our 3 month old Zanussi cooker
Our 3 month old Zanussi cooker, the top oven outer glass door exploded whist the bottom oven was on.
Aclands of Bridgwater our local retailer are very poor, they did not want to know because it was over 30 days old. They washed their hands totally and left it for us to contact the manufacturer until we complained several times and then they did eventually email electrolux customer services, too little to late i'm afraid. It certainly has put us and many of our family and friends off from buying anything from them again.
Again Aclands and us have been let down by a very poor customer services department at Zanussi/ Electrolux which obviously doesn't know its right hand from its left.
Over ten days to get appointment in the first place, they then change it without any notification, then some 3 days later they offer us a cancellation appointment for following morning but forget to tell engineer, then when he is told by his office,after numerous calls by us, he turns up but he obviously has no spare parts.
He does come back next day on the Saturday morning and fits no problem. We did get given £100 from electrolux as a goodwill gesture for the misunderstanding.
The Aclands of old, i'm told, would of sent somebody out to check the cooker over to make sure it was safe. Our contract is with them not the manufacturer, I believe they should of come and collected the cooker, gave us a replacement and then returned the item to the manufacturer for investigation because the glass exploding should not of happened. Overall we feel very let down by all concerned, maybe the days of your local, trustworthy customer friendly retailer has gone.
