Love it!

The app is really easy to use. It helps my 11 year old son keep track of the assigned tasks/chores for his allowance, how much money he has and can spend. It allows him to move funds to savings. If you have an investment account for your child with Acorns, you can link your accounts seamlessly. You can share a link for family to contribute to your child's accounts. I am very pleased.

Go Henry went into my bank account and…

Go Henry went into my bank account and tried to withdraw $16. If this is associated with acorns early then I didn’t give anyone permission to attach my account. I will find the acorns accounts when o have the money to do so. Do not touch my account again

motivation for the children

I like it's easy and this app actually motivates my son to want to do chores and other tasks to get money and to use a card and he enjoys that very much

Someone made unauthorized charges to my…

Someone made unauthorized charges to my daughters account and Acorns was unhelpful in stopping the transactions or helping her recoup the money lost. Very difficult to transfer money out and cancel service.

Great features, no so great handling disputed charges

The interface is simple to use. The ability to view transactions, get alerts, and transfer money is seamless. The feature side is nice, however, the app lacks in handling fraud or unauthorized purchases. There should be a seamless way to click and dispute charges. Currently, you have to submit a message to customer service, then wait for an auto-generated reply. The first message I sent was not answered, but the second message I sent was replied to the next day.
I’ve spent weeks trying to resolve this issue. Banks and credit unions handle these types of issues immediately and with less friction.
The app is great if you never have fraud or suspicious charges. Although, the block card feature did prevent future fraud charges, there’s still the issue of working with customer service for a credit of funds.

Helping my daughter become a responsible adult!

Helping my daughter become a responsible teenager and teach her good habits with saving/investing money. Also, making it easy for her to understand that money is a means of exchange for spending her time doing something and that it doesn't just magically appear whenever she needs it, lol.
