I just returned from the 4 day Classic Inca Trail trek to Machu Picchu with Action Peru Treks, and I’m still riding the high of one of the most incredible experiences of my life. If you’re thinking about doing this bucket-list hike, stop thinking and book with them - you truly won’t regret it.

We had an amazing time and are so happy with Action Peru Treks!! Although we planned to hike the 2D/1N Inca Trail, we changed our plans due to pouring rain on the day and sore knees and feet before we even started. However, Roxner and his team had everything all planned out precisely and we had no stress in regards to our travels. Our personal guide, Odon, was fantastic and extremely knowledgeable about the history of Machu Picchu and the surrounding areas. He was a great asset to our trip as he was with us for the 2 days and came up with a good "Plan B" for us since we canceled our hike. We enjoyed some local hiking around Agua Calientes, visited a butterfly sanctuary, the MP historical museum and soaked in the local thermal springs. Odon gave us a detailed history of MP and was a pure delight to get to know. We would do it all again and highly recommend Odon as your guide and Roxner and team at the Action Peru Treks!

My two sons (ages 12 and 18) hiked the Lares valley to Machu Picchu with Action Peru and we were very happy with the service provided by the team and the trekking company. Our guide, cooks and horsemen were fabulous in helping us to complete the hike. I would definitely recommend this trek and this tour company without any doubts.

Absolutely breathtaking! Action Peru Treks provided an extraordinary adventure through the Andes. The Ancascocha trek was a dream come true. This lesser-known alternative trek offered stunning vistas and authentic cultural encounters. A top-notch travel tour company that goes above and beyond!

Wow! Where do I start? We did two separate tours with Action Peru Treks and they were both fantastic! The first was a 7-day adventure: Zip Line & Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. We then rested a day before our 2 day Rainbow Mountain & Red Valley Hike. The 7-day trip included zip lining in the Ades, a tour of Sacred Valley, a trip to the salt mines in Maras, a visit to the Incan greenhouses and a walking tour of the Sun Temple at Ollantaytambo. After that, we completed the 4 day Classic Inca Trail hike to Machu Picchu and it was beyond anything we could have imagined. The sights, sounds, tastes, history lessons and comradery with our "family" was unforgettable. We had a personal guide who was extremely knowledgeable of the history, culture, architecture, archeology, constellations and flora. He made all the difference in the world and we couldn't imagine doing the trek without him. Also helping us along the way were our porters, cook and assistant cook and expert drivers. Our 2 day trek to Rainbow Mountain exceeded our expectations! We hiked along a beautiful mountain river though alpaca and llama farms to our camp site that was a short 40 minute walk from Rainbow Mountain, which made it possible for us to get there early the next morning as the sun was rising, before all the tour buses. It was so peaceful and an absolutely stunning visual feast! After our time on Rainbow Mountain, we had a lovely hike through the Red Valley, ending with another delicious meal in our dining tent and a relaxing drive back to Cusco. Action Peru Treks does it right! Talk about a turn-key experience. They handled all the transportation to and from the airport/bus stations, etc. All the hotel reservations. All the entry fees and permits. All the meals while we were hiking. Setting up our tents, rolling out our sleeping bags, carrying all of our personal belongings on the trails, greeting us each morning with a steaming hot cup of coca tea, bringing us hot water to wash up, providing clean water to fill our personal hydration packs before each day's hike. They gave us recommendations for must see activities in Cusco, where to exchange our currently, how to navigate the city. All of it. We used WhatsApp to stay in touch with our guide on the day in between hikes as well as after were dropped off at our hotel before our last day, so that we could be sure we connected with our ride to the airport. They thought of everything. About the food: It was all freshly prepared, more than we could eat, full of flavor and locally sourced, where possible. Lunch and dinner included soup and a full buffet of no less than 4 different dishes. Breakfasts were hearty and filling. And we had afternoon tea each day after coming off the trail. They even baked us a chocolate birthday cake! Truly a Once in A Lifetime, Unforgettable Experience.

Had an AWESOME experience of hiking the Inca Classic Trail to Machu Picchu with tour company Action Peru Treks (“APT”). The trail was challenging, but kudos to this company for helping our group successfully complete the climb. Guides were very knowledgeable and porters more than earned our respect for carrying our trail supplies from one campsite to the next.

APT is a class act! Their focus is on making your experience a memorable one. They earned every “Star” with quality equipment, great tasting menus and flawless execution all around! By the end of the hike, they were like family to us.

It was our second trek to Machu Picchu, and both times we let APT lead the way.

Comment: After searching a lot on the internet, we found Action Peru and we took their 6-day Iconic Peru Tour which was very well organized by Roxner. We visited Cusco, the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu. We want to thank Roxner and our awesome guide Maicol for a wonderful experience in Peru.
