Please read the review I already did for Action Adventure

Active Adventures delivers exactly what they advertise: the vacation of a lifetime! From the lovely office people in New Zealand to the guides on the ground, everyone is at the top of their game. We have done three trips with them now and are very likely to do more! Excellent company!

This was one of the best vacations we have ever experienced. The scenery was beyond breathtaking, the food very Austrian and substantial, the guides caring and knowledgeable, the hiking and biking challenging but not ridiculous, and the balance between hotels and mountain refugios perfect. Recommend it highly.

Our Jaguar trip was simply amazing! We loved our guide, Zac, and can't say enough positive about him. The meals on the trail were always better than we could have imagined. We were physically exhausted at the end of the days, but always felt pampered and well taken care of. The hikes were more difficult than we had expected due to the altitude but it was a wonderful feeling of accomplishment to complete them.

Great experience. A joy to deal with the guys in New Zealand prior to the trip. Trip was well led and organised. I'd definitely recommend Active and wouldn't hesitate to book another trip with them.

For a relatively expensive trip, lodging and equipment is poor but the guides are fantastic.

We had a “premium experience with Active .Things could not have been any better. Accommodations were first class. Meals were excellent. Got just the right of attention from our guides. I am sure they do not get paid enough! Want to do it again!

The trip was wonderful and the wife and I enjoyed it very much. We do however have a few areas of disappointment. We were not able to dive the Poor Knights while on the north island, While on the south island I diverted for a few days and stayed at the Rain Forest retreat hotel . The totals I ran to have booked everything myself would have been around$180 US. Active charged me $430 US for setting up this portion of my trip. I have taken issue over this with Active but still have not heard back from them.

In the Dolomites — excellent all around trip, planning, agenda, guides! I will go with them again.

Well organized trips with fun guides in unique locations. Highly recommend this company.

Adventures to both Patagonia and Nepal with A five have been outstanding.
Off to Mt Blanc next year and seriously thinking of Dolomites as well!!!

Active Adventures did a great job with all of the details of our trip from the lodging to the logistics to the menus for lunch and dinner. Out guides, Jean Marc and Holly, were exceptional. By the end of the trip they seemed to be not only our guides but new friends.
I felt like a traveler on this trip vs. a tourist. And that was great!

Well-organized, fairly rigorous and well-planned hiking trip along with great food and good transportation and logistics.

This is our second trip with Active Adventures and had a wonderful trip. Both of our guides were wonderful and took great care of us. We like that this is a small group tour that has no hidden costs. Great hikes and kayaking.

Just finished the Active Adventures trip to Iceland. Everything was top notch - destinations, excellent accommodations and meals, small group, hikes to secret waterfalls and remote huts. The guides were excellent in every way and were very knowledgeable about Icelandic history, geology, biology and birds.

We have traveled with Active Adventures twice, first through New Zealand and then Iceland. The trips were incredible and we came away with a feeling of accomplishment since the hikes offer challenges while still feeling safe. Active does everything to make their trips outstanding in every way. The accommodations, meals, activities, transportation, organization and guides are all first rate! Experiencing the world, not just seeing it, with Active Adventures is the way to go!

Active Adventures is a very well organized tour company which makes you feel comfortable since the very beginning.
Starting with the payment method which was always easy, safe and reliable.
The tour itself always implied a physical effort, however, I always felt very safe and the guides always told us the precise instructions of what we were going to do and need.
The guides were extremely gentle and helpful and the food they cooked for us was always delicious.
