Adam is a fantastic instructor, and did an excellent job creating a safe and supportive environment for us to work on our animation projects. Thanks to the support of Adam and the group, I was able to take an idea I had in my head for years and was able to turn it into a complete animatic by the time the course was done. On top of all that, the course was VERY reasonably priced, especially compared to other online animation courses. Highly recommended!

I just finished the Animators Journey course and had an amazing time; I've done three of the couses from Adam's Animation Academy now and they have all been invaluable. I've learned new skills, improved old ones, and the recent course definitely motivated me to work on my projects and learn from likeminded people. It's effectively a team get together weekly to share your work and help one another improve.
I work in the animation industry and can say that the courses absolutely helped in that regard. I would do another course certainly! Give it a try :) Highly recommended.

This course really meant so much to me and I would definitely do another course with Adam. I loved our one-on-one feedback sessions and I left each week feeling inspired and encouraged. I only had a brief introduction on ToonBoom when I started and after this, I was confident in the software and my animation. This course helped me grow as an animator and helped me land my first job in the industry.

I highly recommend it to anyone looking to sharpen their skills and gain real-world confidence in animation.

I recently took part in Adam's Toon Boom Animation 01 course. As a complete novice with the software and someone with only basic understanding of animation and animation principles, the layout of the course was really helpful to me. Having each lesson video laid out to watch in my own time and as many times as I needed was a great help, and being able to ask questions under the video lessons as well as having access to Adam's expertise via the site chat, email, and discord made it super accessible any time I hit a roadblock. The support is great, and the community in the discord server is lovely. I got a lot out of the course, and every time I got feedback from Adam or spoke with, him he was really positive and supportive of my journey to understanding the materials and principals.

It's great to have lifetime access to the materials of the course, as I've been able to learn in my own time. It was great to have the group calls too and hear other people's issues or questions to learn even more, and from the perspective of people at different stages and with different insights into the industry and other software.

I hope I'll be able to take another course with Adam's Academy in future, there's definitely a reason so many industry animators recommend his courses.

I've taken two of Adam's courses; the ToonBoom Animation course and recently the TVPaint beta testing course.

In both cases, the lessons were easy to follow and had loads of content. Even on just the beta of the TVPaint course, I've learnt a lot from Harriet's videos and am looking forward to seeing the finished course!

Whenever I've spoken with Adam, he's always been really friendly and happy to help. Would definitely recommend! :)

I took the Moho Magic class. I was keeping up with my assignments and in the middle of taking the course a hurricane had hit my area... They were so accommodating and gave me an extension due to the circumstances. Along with that the discord group was so helpful! Not only did I get answers from the teacher, I got to meet and connect with other people learning with me. Also it was real great to have a live demo talk with Dani to ask any questions we had. So when you take a class you gain not only knowledge but connections.

Adam’s Academy is a wonderful place to learn new skills, often at your own pace. The tutors are enthusiastic and knowledgeable and are quick to respond to any questions. They also encourage a community of students to chat so you don’t feel you are on your own. I’d recommend their courses for anyone learning new programs and skills.

Adam’s ToonBoom Animation Level 1 course was exactly what I was looking for - a straightforward and concise introduction to Harmony’s cut out style animation tools, that I could fit in around family life and childcare, and that would set me up with the basics so I can feel confident applying for ToonBoom jobs. It provides exactly all of that, delivered in a friendly manner and an easy to follow format.

Each of the 5 weeks is broken down into bite sized videos that you can check off once completed to keep track of your progress. There are optional tasks to complete each week which you can then easily upload and submit to Adam for feedback. He usually gets back to you within a day with his insights, and answers any questions you have about the software. (I had many!!)

It was also really useful to me that he went back over the basic animation principles - might sound odd coming from a professional animator with 20+ years experience, but a refresher of ‘the rules’ was actually just what I needed, following a break of a couple of years while I grew some babies!

It’s also a lot cheaper than the ‘official’ ToonBoom courses that I was looking into initially, and came highly recommended by many of my animation colleagues, who have completed the course in recent times and gone on to work on various ToonBoom shows. Hopefully I’ll be joining them shortly! Thanks Adam :)

I recently finished the moho magic course and I've previously done the advanced animation course. Both were really informative. Adam is easy to get in touch if you have any problems. I've known other people having completed their other courses and they also enjoyed them. I highly recommend doing any of their courses.

I have signed up to three courses, Rigging 1, Animation 1, and Scene build all in one year because they have been very helpful. The courses are very well structured and engaging, so you can gain knowledge very quickly.
After doing these courses I've been able to improve my skills further quite rapidly as the courses became the building blocks I needed to get started.
The coursework assigned is engaging, some optional, so it gives you time to focus on other commitments without stress. Adam also gives helpful, encouraging and motivating feedback.

Iv undertaken training with Adam's animation academy many times. Both as a freelancer looking to develop my skills and as a studio where in 2020 I hired Adam to help retrain my entire team in toonboom from a previous After effects focused pipeline for character animation.
Adam has a methodology for how he teaches, structures and orders the lessons that comes from years of experience. Its an approach that after multiple courses I can really see the wisdom in.

Each time I've found the beginning to be deceptively simple and gentle, before combining all those simple elements into a cohesive understanding of the software as you undertake a challenging final assignment. An early lesson may have you animating a bouncing ball, but its not ABOUT the bouncing ball, any animator can animate a bouncing ball, its about how you do it in this software and how to do it in a good way that makes sense. That's the key difference. Bodging your way through vs learning how to approach and execute something well. His courses focus on making people ready to enter the childrens animations industry in various roles and often end with an assignment that can act as a showreel piece.

Some of the courses have been live, but as iv become a parent Iv really appreciated there being recordings, combined with a discord channel that's allowed me to get help when ever iv needed it. Theres a really lovely community building up there.

Most recently I took Dani Abrahms Moho course and its been a wonderful extension of what Adam offers.
I cant recommend them enough. Whether its courses or consultation.

Adam's Moho animation course was so much fun, and I felt that we were given friendly and real life training. The encouragement and open mindedness of the tutors let us be playful and show other fun ideas we had with the exercise files. I felt like whatever problem or question I had could be explained in a caring and patient way. There was also time to do the course work around our day jobs, as Adam and Dani are aninators with jobs themselves.

Adam’s courses are great, really informative but easy to understand a complex system! I have completed a few courses and Adam’s are definitely my favourite as I have learned the most. He has been so helpful when I have been stuck too! Thank you Adam!

I had a great experience with Adam's Animation, taking part on the Toon Boom Scene Build course. I thought the 3 week course was informative, with its explanation on how to utilise Toon Boom's node view for Scene Build/Prep tasks and gave a good overview of some handy keyboard shortcuts that aid the process. When I had any difficulties it was a straightforward process to email Adam for help with it. I took on this course to strengthen my knowledge as a Scene Build/Prep trainee and it helped me do just that and gave me more confidence with Toon Boom.

Great animation course! Covered all the basics of animating in toonboom and was always on hand if I got stuck. An affordable option!

Amazing animation courses! Couldn't reccomend them any higher! Looking forward to any new courses in the future 😀

I have taken Adam's Animation Academy Rigging course, both Beginner and Advance. The course gives a great breakdown of rigging in Toon Boom and provides feedback on your work, and for your portfolio.

As a result of taking the Beginners course, it helped me to get my first 2D Rigging Artist job and I thank him for this.

I would recommend Adam's Animation Academy.

Great classes! Useful concise tutorials that have all the info needed for the task at hand. Definitely worth a look if you want to explore new areas of animation!
