Second time visiting Guatemala and second time Eduardo helping it be an amazing experience! All the booking/coordinating process prior the trip is easy, friendly and he's so helpful and attentive. During the trip, all guides and drivers are so professional, knowledgeable and fun. They really make a vacation turn out to be an awsome experience, thank you!!!

Excellent trip.. Guide Vinny was fantastic. Views were excellent and lucky it was a clear night.. Downside was we were only given wooden poles whereas other companies you could hire proper walking poles.. when we reached the top it was freezing and it would have been great to have a warm drink and a fire which we waited 2.5 hours for.. A pillow would have been nice.. Ran out of toilet paper and hand sanitizer.. Solar lights outside tents would have been better for safety..Not having enough gloves gats etc for us not ideal..Not advising us exactly what we needed not ideal.. Others in group were even given coats for some reason..Owner needs to spend a few hundred dollars for some improvements.. A few minor changes would make it excellent.

I booked a customized trip through Eduardo. Who was absolutely amazing. It was an entire week with acatenango, Fuego and Volcan Atitlan. My transportation, hotels, food on the trek and tents/sleeping arrangements were all organized. My guide was Lucas, who was AMAZING!! I couldn’t have asked for a better guide along the way. I can’t recommend this company enough, Eduardo and Lucas more. I was solo traveling and they made the trip a breeze and overall amazing.

Excellent experience. Small intimate groups, great food. Guides spoke excellent English and saw to everything we needed. Sleeping pads are the best we have ever seen, and we do this a lot. Tents, sleeping bags were clean, warm and completely functional. We saw large groups with other tour companies and they did not have good things to say. This is a great company to do the Acetenango tour with.

Our recent 4x4 trip up Acatenango Volcano was fantastic, and I can't praise our guides and trip coordinator, Eduardo enough. They were not only knowledgeable but also incredibly friendly and helpful, making everyone feel at ease throughout the journey. Communication with them was prompt, and their enthusiasm added an extra layer of excitement to the adventure. Highly recommended!

Old town outfitters is such a great agency. I'm sure they are the best agency for adventure experiences in Guatemala. I made the Acatenango 1 day tour and was really great. The guides are very experienced and also extremely friendly, and the overall experience, since the very moment I left the hotel, was just awesome. I will definitely come back and strongly recommend Old Town Outfitters.

We had an overall good experience with Eduardo, he was very patient and personable, and facilitated all our requests, even if they were not a part of the tour. Our guide Esmeralda was attentive and knowledgeable about Guatemalan geography and Mayan history and culture. We also appreciated that each part of the tour offered an authentic look into different facets of that culture (food, clothing, spirituality) . Esmeralda also spoke fluent English which was very helpful for us. Our driver, Antonio, was kind and cooperative, although he was not bilingual, he still found ways to communicate with us, which is commendable. All in all, a superb experience. Highly recommended.

Fue una experiencia excepcional, no hay palabras para describir como realmente la disfrutamos todos mis hijos y nietos. Éramos un grupo de 20 personas de 3 años a 75 años y todos la gozamos. Fuimos a La Antigua, Volcán de Pacaya, Atitlan, en Atitlan fue muy lindo, cuando llegamos no había luz y sin embargo nuestra guía nos llevó al lugar que íbamos a comer, con la señal muy débil, pero llegamos con bien. Nos fuimos al día siguiente a pasear en la lancha por los pueblos del Lago de Atitlan. Increíble!!! También estuvimos en el zip line en Panajachel. TODOS los que lo hicieron están súper felices!!! El último paseo fue en la Ciudad de Guatemala. Fuimos a Cayala… una belleza!!! Luego un tour por la Ciudad. No hay palabras para agradecer, les debo realmente el éxito de nuestras vacaciones en familia. No hay quien pueda decir que no la paso bien!!! Eduardo y yo hicimos el plan y nuestros guías lo siguieron. Una semana inolvidable para TODOS!!! Del 22 de enero al 29 de enero de 2023

Eduardo was very knowledgeable in local facts, he was able to point me to areas of my interest. The mtb ride was fantastic, he took videos and allows me to ride at my own pace. I would hire him again anytime.

We found Guatemala to be more friendly, cheaper, more interesting and way, way safer than the other Central American countries that we've toured, especially Mexico. We felt safe walking anywhere, excluding Guatemala City, including night. People are smiling and unusually kind, both to us and to each other. We did the standard Antigua, Tikal, Atitlan route. The latter was the most interesting, especially when we took an extra day to go to the villages the tourists don't normally visit. And though all guides and drivers were fine, Pedro in Atitlan was the best.

Special thanks to Eduardo. He had to plan our trip 3 times (twice delayed due to Covid restrictions.) I ask lots of questions and requested many particular changes to the itinerary. He always responded quickly. During the trip he was very attentive, coming to our hotel to review things and always available on the phone. The only two issues we encountered occurred on Sunday nights and he was available and on top of it even then.

In Flores near Tikal, recommend staying at a hotel on the island, not the other side of the bridge and definitely not the El Patio hotel (we were moved upon request.) The 5 star hotels in Antigua, Camino Real and the Casa Santa Domingo (the latter built around museums and not to be missed) were fantastic. Every hotel, including the $50/nite Regis in Panajachel, included great breakfasts.

Tourism is still down 50% or more in Guatemala so take this opportunity to visit.

My point of contact was Eduardo and he connected me with a local guide named Willy. Eduardo was very responsive and personalized my trip as i had very little time so we coordinated a midnight trip up to the volcano de fuego to be up there before sunrise. I picked Willy up around 11pm from Antigua and we started our journey to the town. I left my car and we began hiking at 12am in a very safe town. It rained all the way up but Willy was amazing in guiding me through the area to make sure that we used our energy in the most efficient way possible. I didn’t realize that the hike was all uphill non stop so if you aren’t an avid hiker I would recommend doing the trip in 2 days (hike at night and sleep up in the base camp and then hike to the volcano around 4am to see the sunrise) because doing it in 1 day was brutal but REALLY WORTH IT! I got to see the volcano explode at night so it lit up the tip of the volcano in all red magma and then I got to see it during the during which was just as amazing. Overall I HIGHLY recommend this trip and this company to use as your organize for the trip and Willy the guide as I have heard that some companies cancel on you last minute but this company and the guide were extremely reliable. This is the best experience I’ve ever had in my life. Never in my wildest dreams would I have imagined seeing a volcano explode right in front of me. Willy your the man thank you and Eduardo for everything!

I had a fantastic trip in Guatemala! Eduardo organised everything for us and everything was seamless and easy. Our accomodation, transport and activities were all booked for us and we had an incredible time.

Eduardo was very good at planning our adventure from the start. We realized that an activity was too challenging, after a couple of days into the trip, for our daughter and he was very quick at pivoting and booking a hotel and finding fun and interesting activities to replace what we had originally planned. He was available and responded quickly and we got to meet him twice. He was in constant communication with our guide as well. We really felt like we were important and he appreciated our visit. I highly recommend using him!

I cannot sing Eduardo's praises highly enough! He was so responsive, right from the initial email conversation. He listened to my values and budgetary concerns in planning the perfect itinerary and the selection of hotels. He was so patient and responsive with all my questions-- most particularly during the trip. I was traveling alone and without cell coverage-- he was my only safety net. We would communicate through WhatsApp when I had WiFi at a hotel. I felt like I was always on his radar screen. I had so enjoyed our conversations in planning the trip, that when I got to Antigua, I asked if I could meet him. We ended up having dinner together, and now I have a new friend! The drivers he arranged for me, Danilo and Fernando were kind and delightful. And I especially enjoyed my guide Luis Galindo, with whom I spent 4 days-- biking, hiking, kayaking. For me the richness of a travel experience, particularly when it comes to guides, is the relationship, my experience with the guide-- not the facts. I can get facts from a book, and likely won't remember them anyway. But the willingness to talk and be connected-- to laugh, to hear about one another's life is everything. And that's what I will remember. I believe I have made a new friend in Luis as well. Most impressive to me about Eduardo-- my last night was a late night stay at an airport hotel, having just flown into Guatemala City from Flores/Tikal, and leaving for home early the next morning. The hotel isn't 5 minutes from the airport, and they have a shuttle. Still, he insisted on driving all the way from Antigua, late at night, taking time away from his family to pick me up at the airport and taking those five minutes to drive me to the hotel. "I just like to make sure my clients are OK and had a good time." I have never planned a trip so quickly, almost impulsively. I had never heard of KimKim-- didn't understand how it worked exactly, but it popped up on my initial google search about Guatemala. Eduardo went full-steam ahead with the planning, and I sent my money. I would catch myself thinking-- "You don'y know ANYTHING about this operation! If it's even legit or is it a scam?" But I trusted Eduardo. I would absolutely use KimKim again as well. For anyone planning a trip to Guatemala, you cannot go wrong with Eduardo. I still can't quite believe how dense and rich a weeklong trip could be.

I I traveled to Guatemala to meet related family members. I do not speak Spanish and therefore i needed an interpreter. I contacted Eduardo as people from my country had recommended him. He fulfilled all my requests and did it very well. He stood by everything we agreed on. I was very happy with him both as an interpreter and as a person, he really is a great guy and I definitely recommend him. Thanks for great time and experience , greetings from Iceland.
