A Hand Tailored Suit Reviews 

I ordered a suit on 24 April. After numerous fitting appointments being cancelled by Jonathan for reasons which frankly I now find hard to believe, my suit had still not been made, let alone delivered by the end of September. I've still not received the promised credit back to my credit card account despite an assurance on 24 September that this was being processed.
I would strongly recommend you do not use this business.

Their reply to the above suggested the order was cancelled on my instructions. Of course it was; because it was more than 2months late. 3 weeks after suggesting I would receive a refund this has still not been processed.

Having a suit made by Jonathan at A Hand Tailored Suit was truly a pleasure. My wife and I made a last minute appointment here for her bridal suit. To be honest, after a couple bad experiences with tailors in London (apparently finding somebody to tailor a suit for my body size is a joke, people really like the phrase 'No') , we weren't hoping for much. To say we were pleasantly surprised would be an understatement, Jonathan, the Suit, the Experience and the tailoring itself were beyond perfect. From the get-go Jonathan made me feel comfortable designing a suit from scratch, he made me feel like no task was to big or small, and he listened to my every whim, incorporating little details into my suit that I hadn't even thought to change (did somebody say pride rainbow cuffs?).
All of this was great, but I truly have to thank Jonathan for the way he made me feel on my Wedding Day. As a gay woman my size (I'm not huge, but i'm barely stick thin), people often assume you want certain things, or judge you, look at you funny or make sly comments, not once in jonathans workshop did I feel like this, in fact I would go as far as to say I felt like the 'blushing bride' people describe, my suit made me feel more comfortable than I could have imagined. He is truly a lovely guy! I wouldn't recommend anybody else for a hand made suit and have already started spreading his name to all my family and friends.
The only regret I have in fact, is that it took us so long to write our review. Jonathan I am truly sorry!

I recently picked up my wedding suit from Jonathan at the Birmingham studio. I was slightly unsure about the cloth and lining I was choosing at the start of the process but thanks to Jonathan's advice I am more than happy with the choice. I was very impressed with the initial fit with only slight alterations needed on the trousers and waistcoat which is pretty amazing considering this suit was completely bespoke to me. I would highly recommend A Hand Tailored Suit as the service has been exceptional through out with a very high quality suit and fit as the end product. Looking forward to my next bespoke suit for work!

Hello! I cannot begin to tell you how happy I am, not only with my suit, but with my overall experience with AHTS. The suit looks fantastic and I love the fabric. I even had a local dry cleaners mention how he was very impressed with the jacket, pants, and the shirt. As far as the fit goes, it needed only a minor adjustment. I had contacted them prior to making my order to ask if they could deliver my suit in time for an upcoming wedding. Their replies were prompt, clear, and courteous. They promised delivery in time for the wedding, I will be recommending them to everybody, as well as continuing to shop here whenever I can.

I had a consulting for a wedding suit and had excellent service. With their help I had 3 piece suit, shirt and trousers made and was wholly satisfied with the end product. There was a slight problem but they went up an beyond the rectify. Would recommend.

The whole process has been smooth. Unlike other made to measure suppliers I got the feeling that the fit was important. The pride in seeing a job well done means that they are not content until the fit is perfect for you.
A little delayed on delivery give enough time and you will be more than happy with the finished product.

I have tried on new suit, I must say I had left this late in the day to arrange, the fit the cut is amazing. Thank you so much, I'll be back for more, I will not be buying suits from anywhere else. This is for my daughters wedding, thank you so much for helping me.

I’ve struggled for ages to find a smart suit to fit me well,
I tried a hand tailored suit early in the year, great service and quality the fit is exactly what I was after, tailored to fit and comfortable at the same time, the process could be quicker hence 4 stars. I’m happy to recommend there services just give them the time.

I love it, what a Suit. The team made it very easy for me, I was struggling to find anything I liked on the high street in the style and colour I wanted. double breasted waistcoat with satin lapels and the jacket with satin piping and a contrast satin finish. My wedding suit, I did leave this last minute and the guys did a cracking job making this for me, They had a challenge with myself, I wanted a design I've seen but in Charcoal grey with a light grey double breasted waistcoat. Agreat job well done, with a small tweak this was perfect, pictures attached.

I unfortunately didn’t trust my gut when reading the reviews and decided to order a suit for my wedding from this company.

I met with the two directors in their room in the basement of the Buswell hotel on Molesworth street. They were very courteous, seemed very professional in terms of displaying the vast array of materials on offer and in taking my measurements and in exchange for an article on my website provided a very good deal.

They said in person the suit would be ready in 8 weeks although it’s normally 12 weeks (I visited exactly 12 weeks before my wedding) but in email said it took 8 weeks for the suit to be cut, 12 until delivery – if this was the case I wouldn’t have proceeded in the first place.

The suits are made in Nepal, which I’ve no issue with as I had a fabulous suit made in Vietnam in 2 days, I presumed 8 weeks would be plenty of time as that’s what the two directors said.
8 weeks in, I started emailing for updates and had limited communication back. I eventually got a response to say everything was on time and the suit would be delivered in plenty of time – I held on and waited.

Several emails back and forth with the company offering different excuses as to where the suit was. One of the directors was particularly rude – accusing me of abusive emails and language which was certainly not the case and I felt they went on the offensive which was not a good sign.

Long story short, a 3 days before my wedding the suit was not in Dublin despite several emails telling me it was on the way, I had to make alternative plans to get a suit at the last minute from established suit companies (I wish I went there initially and saved myself the hassle as I was able to put together a great looking suit for a fraction of the price).

The director of A Hand Tailored Suit informed me a refund would be processed, 10 weeks later and still no refund and they’re stopped replying to my emails altogether so this has been passed to the courts.

I most definitely do not recommend this company – they almost ruined my wedding and provided nothing but smoke and mirrors at each stage of the process. If you decide to go with them, don’t be naïve like me and pay with your credit card so you can claim back. Filter Google reviews by negative reviews and be careful and skeptical about any positive review. Go to an established tailor.

Awesome suit and service
I ordered a suit and paid for the fast track service. It fits perfectly not even a single adjustment. They are very experienced designers and tailors. My first suit made for me in 40 years 😃 very good service and quality top marks.

That’s my only view, I’m on board with the journey as I’ve been let down by previous tailors, hats off great job well done. Keep building you will get there.

Disastrous company. Used them about 2 years ago for my husband's suit. Worst decision ever. Still chasing them the week of the wedding and had to go about and buy a new suit at short notice. They didn't meet the deadline and we were refunded as we used a credit card. We paid extra to get it fast-tracked as well! Full of promises but unable to deliver.
