Air France Reviews 

We had booked 3 flights with Air France to get us from Manchester UK to Melbourne AUS. We randomly went on our account and found that the flights had been cancelled? With no updates or communications from Air France at all. There was something about our documents not being on so we tried that but it wouldn't accept it. We tried to re-book the flights which just comes up with error. So currently on hold (and have been for a while) after several attempts where we were just cut off. Worst experience with booking flights. We can't afford to just pay for new flight and wait weeks for the refund. Current covid restrictions still allows us to make this trip and according to the website the flights we booked haven't actually been cancelled. but it won't let us re-book those flights. Awful and incredibly stressful.

For my wife’s return journey from BKK to MAN via CDG, we booked and paid for a trip starting and ending on 20 January with a 2-hour transfer in Paris. They have changed this to a 12-hour OVERNIGHT transfer in Paris. This is of course TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE.

What are they going to do about this?

My wife arrived in BKK yesterday to find her brand new suitcase had been trashed in transit.

And about this?

They cancelled my flight in the last minute and the option for refund or rescheduling my flight is not working.

So far we have just booked our tickets, this during the middle of the Covid Pandemic. Booking and payment experience good. Air France were very clear about the terms of booking and the Covid cancellation policy. We will have to wait to see if in the event of a cancellation this is honoured. My only grumble is that there was a charge to hold the booking for 48hrs before confirmation, which you need at the moment to allow thinking time. My view is that this should have been refunded if we went ahead with the booking, which we did. This is why 1 star has been deducted.

Treat their loyal customers like excrement. I would avoid them like the plague. Strange all these 5 star review mostly from accounts that have signed up to leave just one review.
If your booking isn’t messed up by their poorly designed website, you will discover the worst customer service imaginable. They even admit upfront that their customer service is unsatisfactory. Incredible.
Avoid this legacy business that’s propped up.

My experience with Air France so far, has been of care and efficiency. Last trip I took with them Paris was in turmoil with the security strike. But I felt cared for on a personal level things was handle very smoothly when it could have been total chaos.

Never booked airline tickets myself. It’s always been through a travel agents. This experience through the website was really easy and without any issues. I booked my tickets with confidence knowing I was selecting what I needed and no confusion.

New travel arrangements made using vouchers held over from postponed travel due to COVID.

looking for flights to specifically one city air France associated with KLM came up in the search.
i liked the look and really enjoyed the simplicity of the booking process.
nothing to heavy to endure and clear and precise information at every turn.
I'm actually flying with KLM booked through Air France all sorted and booked in a very short time.
I would recommend to all.
i had tried my normal go to 1st but with little success.

Booking process has gone really good also the ticket’s cost was competitive, I am going to travel with them Friday we’ll see how their services gonna be.

An awful experience with Air France. I have only used that company for my return flight from Saint Petersburg, Russia via Paris (CDG) to London Heathrow (LHR) on 11/10/21 after excellent KLM flights LHR- Amsterdam- Saint Petersburg on 22/09/21, and I have to say that I will never use Air France again. After 3- hour connection time in Paris, we have been boarded to the plane to be told later in 1.5 hours that because of the technical problem relating to another plane (not sure which one due to poor English language spoken by French staff), we had to disembark, get through the luggage checks again and then board to a new plane. We meant to leave Paris at 20.50 pm originally but have finally left at 23.10 pm. I approached the staff during the second embarkment and kindly asked them to provide passengers with water but have been declined as they have been referring to 2-hour policy, while it was only 1 hour 50 minutes delay by then. By the time the plane left the ground, the total delay was 2 hours 20 minutes, so the staff could easily make a right decision and at least be kind to passengers who have been doing connecting flight and serve the drinks. No gaps between passengers' seats have been done (as it's been done at KLM flights), so 3 passengers were seated shoulder to shoulder on the left and another 3 on the right. The company has also insisted on surgery masks' use only which is an illegal requirement. Any type of masks, including handmade cotton masks should be allowed for use. The level of your service was very low. Shame I cannot claim the compensation for a delayed flight as it's 3-hour minium delay set by law.

As a Flying Blue member some parts of the booking were automatically populated reducing the time to complete. Flight options detailed clearly and easy to progress, restrictions highlighted before committing the purchase. Additional options eg meals, seat allocation and card supplements fully explained. Booking and confirmation completed speedily.

Great website, quick, easy and clear navigation, a really good all round experience. The only reason I'm marking Air France down to 4 stars is that it took me a while to figure out how to get in and out of Paris in one day for a quick business trip as the website wouldn't allow a round trip, so I ended up getting two singles at a cost of 25% more. I know this is what airlines like to do and they have to try and scape a profit from somewhere but if it was made clear this is what I had to do, its a case of either accept of not, I wouldn't have wasted half an hour messing around and would have awarded 5 stars. Another annoying thing I found was that for the 'return' part of my journey on the flight time selection it was showing as 'only one seat left' in red... totally unnecessary to induce panic like that, when I clicked on it and then chose a seat position, I could see that it was only half full... c'mon! No need to publicly lie to get your prospective customers to make a decision! TBH...that lack of integrity leaves a sour taste in one's mouth.
