Very happy we went with AK Solar. Choosing a company to install solar panels is a bit of a minefield - quotes can vary wildly, and from a little bit of research, it seems there are lots of people who have had poor experiences with some of the companies in the market.

AK Solar were very professional from start to finish; they did a really tidy job. Very helpful and prompt in dealing with the paperwork, and I feel confident that they will be there to provide support and assistance if I need it in the future.

I got solar panels and a battery installed a couple of weeks ago with AK Solar. I got quotes from a number of companies and found them to be very competitive. The one thing that made them stand apart was how easy it was to deal with them. From first contact, queries, booking and on installation day they were first class. Eric answered all my questions, offered great advice and helped with applying for the SEAI grant. Alan and Vlad did a great job installing the panels including returning 2 days later to fit an extra panel that they managed to squeeze in. Frankie and Joey did a great job on the electrics and helped to explain how the system worked. Communication with Rose and Clare was both timely and efficient. I would highly recommend AK Solar to anyone considering getting solar panels.

Right from first contact, their friendliness and efficiency was top notch. They were out the next day for a site survey, and then scheduled an install within two weeks. The roof guys, electricians, and office staff couldn't have been more helpful and I'm very happy with how its gone. Their prices were also the best I came across. They weren't pushy in terms of what I got installed, they worked with me in terms of what I wanted out of the system. I highly recommend them!

AK Solar offered fantastic customer service, in the run up to getting my panels installed, with clear information, quoting accurately over the phone, prompt replies to my emails, and working efficiently and neatly, cleaning up after themselves. They were easy and very pleasant to communicate with. A really sense of sincerity the full way.

The initial contact was very instructive + positive. On installation day they were most efficient + neat in their work. All was done without fuss. Later, their explanation of the system was excellent. All in all, a very worthwhile experience.

Had AK Solar do my install last week they arrived on the appointed day in the morning completed the install in a very timely fashion and removed all boxes wrapping etc. Job was very tidy and crew extremely efficient. The whole process was very quick and efficient and Clare and the team were very prompt in responding to any questions or alterations to the project.

From the first phone call to final commission of the system dealing with AK Solar was a pure pleasure. They explained options, benefits and suitability bespoke to ourselves. The survey was conducted, quote and installation all on time and with no issues. The areas were left clean and tidy and workings explained very well.

We were recommended AK Solar by a friend. This was very useful as the whole solar arena is a minefield if you are exploring for the first time. Eric was great he talked me through then Clare was a fantastic support . On the day the solar panel lads came and went it was uneventful. The next day the electricians came they did the installation in the attic and hot press and then spent time installing and showing me all the apps. What was really nice was their attitude. Nothing was an issue they even offered to call by any evening as I was on their way home if I had questions re apps or anything else. Genuine,nice people.

Contacted, installed, cleaned, explained. Same day installation. Very professional. All paperwork done in minutes.

AK Solar - Would recommend!
I ordered panels and a battery in November 2024
The System was due to be installed before Xmas but due to Holyhead issues that got delayed, the communication from AK Solar was excellent on this.
The system was installed in 2 parts between the 10th and 15th of Jan 2025.
The Work was quick and very tidy. The system is working well and any queries I had about it were promptly answered.
AK also use the more advanced Aiko panels rather than the Jinko ones, they offer more wattage and a newer.
