Delayed Deliveries and Lack of Communication

I’m writing to express my ongoing frustration with the service I’ve recently received. Despite paying for next day delivery, my last two orders were not dispatched on time, and no communication was provided to explain the delays.

I understand that your business may be experiencing a high volume of orders, and your very busy but if that is the case, I would suggest reviewing your staffing levels or logistical processes. Many of your competitors continue to deliver reliably within the promised timeframes, if your unable to offer this service please remove it as a choice on your website , so we can all make informed decisions ( ORDER NUMBERS

Massive thanks to Becky at Alan Howard Sheffield Parkway store for all her help with my recent purchase. She absolutely went the extra mile to get me samples of fabric etc when the manufacturer were not able to provide photos for me. She followed up on promises, kept me informed and made the purchase as smooth as possible.

Ordered peroxide with offer on website…

Ordered peroxide with offer on website say buy 2 as get 3 free
When parcel arrived 3rd bottle never was add and they try to tell me I should add 3 to basked (never had to do this in past as system add automatically) expected better customer service and try to rip off customers with simple mistake they made it!!! Do not order as they will rip you off as well.Also be careful when order as when you press 1 system add to basked multiple items and you have to double check and remove it!!!

I'm sorry to hear you haven't had a smooth checkout journey on our website.

I have been in touch with our Web department who have informed me of the communication you have had with them via our support chat.

I'd just like to reiterate that offers can only be applied if the correct items are in your basket i.e. total quantity of 3 peroxides to allow the deal of buy 2 get 1 free to be applied.

Unfortunately we cannot assume what developer you would have required for your free bottle as our customers like to mix and match within this deal, but you would have been met with a prompt upon checkout to let you know that you are close to completing a deal and to add another peroxide to your basket to ensure that you get this.

However, I have forwarded your feedback onto our E-commerce manager to look into this.

We are happy to fulfil the deal required and send you your free developer, as our Web team confirmed via email, so if you are happy with this please contact them via the email chain.

Please dont order furnitures from Allan…

Please dont order furnitures from Allan Howard. Ordered 3 backwashes in December 2024 and on the 13th of February 2025 Ordered 5 REM mirrors.
When the backwashes got delivered, all 3 basins had to be dismantled as they were wrongly built. The plumber spend 4 hours to correct the basins which cost me additional £120 for his time. When he fitted the backwashes we noticed one of the chairs was faulty. If you try to get hold of Chris, forget it! Replacement was sent after a few weeks but with the same fault.
As for the REM mirrors, after asking most weeks when they finally will be delivered, still non the wiser. Ignorance is a bliss.
Ordered REM reception desk from company called 'Salon Direct ' 4 weeks ago, they kept me informed about the progress on my order and it's been delivered. Don't waste your time or money on Allan howard! Order your furniture from someone else

I have been guided through all the communication not only Chris, but also another member of our furniture team and your local store has had with you regarding the order, so I'm sorry to hear that you don't feel that this was adequate enough.

I understand your frustrations with the washunit - this is not an ideal situation but we have tried to rectify this with replacements but they were refused.

I believe your mirrors are now delivered and a replacement washunit has now been offered.

Bad experience


"I ordered a nail polish from this website on March 5th, and it was supposed to arrive between March 7th and 11th. Unfortunately, there was a delay without any updates, and I had to send two emails before finally getting a response. In the end, my order arrived two days late, which was quite stressful for me. The shopping experience was disappointing. I hope this store improves its customer service and communication in the future."

The in warehouse stock vs out of stock needs addressing. I shouldn’t have to chase half my order because it’s being despatched separately, with no communication via email or otherwise sent to me. Also taking too long to respond . I paid in one go so my invoice should be 1 invoice not two.

Easy to order from and very helpful…

Easy to order from and very helpful when I ordered something by mistake and wanted to swap it they sorted that for me straight away. Prices are good and very quick delivery!

Please stop wasting business owners…

Please stop wasting business owners time ! Twice this week iv tried to buy in line and in store , I wanted payot and milkshake products . Seams milkshake can’t be bought on line or ordered from my local branch. I rang Stockport who have stock but don’t deliver . Total waste of about 3 hours of my time . Your business is to support salons not waste our time .

Lovely staff

Lovely staff, very helpful and welcoming,only down side is I don't get told when it's vat free week 🤣 I got told after I bought an item online hahaa so would be nice to get emails on discounts or messages etc 😁 but other than that great!
