We have just returned from another great holiday in Portugal after booking our accommodation with Algarve Retreats As previously experienced, the service provided by Adrian and the staff was first class. Nothing is too much trouble, and any queries we had prior to our holiday were handled professionally and quickly.
Our thanks to Maria who showed us around the apartment and quickly resolved two minor issues we had within the first few days.
We will definitely be using this company again when we travel to the Algarve.

Even though the weather didn’t always cooperate (who knew the Algarve had a moody side? 😊), we were able to watching the changing conditions from the comfort of the apartment and it truly felt like a home away from home.
We especially appreciate the quick and professional respond to the couple of minor issues that popped up, your prompt attention and friendly service made everything seamless and stress-free.

We visit Lagos several times a year and our go to place for apartment rentals is always Algarve Retreats. The customer service is second to none from an initial enquiry, to booking and welcome on arrival, and throughout your stay if you have any needs. As soon as you contact Algarve, whilst in resort, the response is immediate. Adrian and his team are all first class and a special mention to Ian whose support, and help, during our recent trips has been fantastic. Although we have visited Portugal for many years this was our first holiday facilitated by Algarve Retreats. The service provided by Adrian and the team was 5 star. Communication with the company was answered swiftly and professionally. Anji who showed us around the apartment was helpful and friendly and a few queries we had were handled by Rute in the same way. We are hoping to book again for next year and will be using Algarve Retreats. We have already recommended them to Family and Friends.

MATCHING PEOPLE TO PROPERTIES

Well, what can we say other than we are completely overwhelmed by the incredible, highly professional and expert service that we have received from ALGARVE RETREATS.

In June 2024 we made a decision to look ‘seriously’ for a property in Lagos, Portugal. We live in the UK and so the thought of buying a property abroad was somewhat daunting and scary.

We contacted Adrian Fox who recommended that we speak with Georgia Barfield to let her know our requirements. Whilst in the UK, we sent Georgia a list of several properties which we were interested in viewing. We then flew to Portugal with just one week to view all of our chosen properties.

On day one, Georgia collected us in her car and accompanied us as we viewed three properties. All in different locations in Lagos. As we crossed the threshold of the third property we both knew instantly that this one was “THE ONE”.

When you know, you know! I actually got goosebumps.

This apartment felt so right that we cancelled all our other viewings.

From then on, Georgia guided us through the whole process, negotiating with the seller on day two and successfully sealing the deal for us on day three.

On day four, Georgia arranged for us to meet with a Lawyer and the rest is history.

Georgia has been in daily contact with us as we had to fly back home. She kept us updated every step of our journey.

When the deed had been signed Georgia called us to let us know. We flew to Lagos as soon as we could.

On collecting our keys we were met by Paula who kindly informed us that our apartment was being cleaned for us. This had been arranged by Algarve Retreats. What an excellent service. When we walked inside the whole place looked immaculate.

Our property buying experience with ALGARVE RETREATS has been nothing short of seamless. We would say it’s above and beyond our (very high) expectations.

Throughout the process Georgia advised and guided us in her cool, calm way which made us feel so reassured.

If you are contemplating buying property in Lagos, The Algarve then you need Georgia Barfield by your side. This lady has a sixth sense called ‘real estate”. Georgia is nothing short of a property matchmaking genius. She certainly knows her stuff!

Die Ferienwohnung Marina Village in Lagos war sehr schön. Der Mitarbeiter der Agentur Algarve Retreats an ein arroganter Schmierlappen. Die Unterkunft war an Wochentagen durch Baulärm kaum nutzbar. Ein Hinweis auf Baulärm wurde seitens des Vermittlers FEWO und Algarve Retreats nicht hingewiesen. Nach erfolgter Reklamation wurde uns am frühen Abend eine bis dahin noch ungereinigte nicht gleichwertige Ersatzunterkunft mit ebenfalls mehreren Baustellen in der Nähe, an einer viel befahrene Straße, angeboten. Wir haben abgelehnt. Auf unseren Vorschlag zu einer üblichen Reduzierung des Mietpreises hat sich Algarve Retreats nicht eingelassen. Da diese Unterkunft noch weiterhin geprägt von Baulärm sein wird, kann ich nur empfehlen, sich nach einer anderen Unterkunft umzusehen. Die Agentur Algarve Retreats erhält daher von mir nur 1 Stern.

Algarve Retreats were a delight to deal with, good communication with great customer service and support, we dealt with George who assisted greatly to accommodate our early arrival 😀
Apartment was lovely and clean with little complimentary toiletries and new kitchen sponges etc, nice touch

Algarve Retreats came up trumps and found us an ideal apartment for our recent stay in Lagos despite our late request. We will most definitely be using their excellent services in the future.

Stayed in Lagos Aug 11th 2022.

Stayed in Villa Oxala, Lagos over May half term. It was a real treat having a villa to ourselves and the privacy & peace it afforded. It was in a great location near the marina, a 10/15 minute walk downhill & the local shop for basics was very handy, a 5 minute walk & they did great fresh cakes & pastries. The grounds of the villa were well kept with a mature & interesting garden. The pool was a good size & deep enough for the kids to jump in. Inflatables were provided too. The villa was well appointed, the beds were very comfortable & the bedrooms overlooked the garden. The Aircon was handy on occasions too. We liked that the villa was traditional but also had good quality furnishings & was well maintained. You do have to walk down some steps to it or could drive your car down by the door but it is quite steep so we didn't bother.

Well we're back in the swing with our Lagos pilgrimages and just returned from 12 nights in another superb apartment, on the Marina, facilitated by Tracey and Adrian at Algarve Retreats. We've been using Algarve Retreats for several years now and they're fantastic. From booking, to support, if needed, when in resort, to departure, the team is always there promptly and caringly. They were fantastic during Covid and deserve the loyalty that they showed customers during that awful hiatus. Already another 2 bookings in the can and wouldn't use anybody else. A quality organisation who treat you like friends. For peace of mind and secure bookings don't look further that Algarve Retreats.

This is our second trip to the Villa Vista Del Mar and once again it did not disappoint. The view is spectacular, the home was clean and fully equipped with everything we might need.
Algarve Retreats responded promptly to any questions or concerns we had. Tracey and Adrian are very responsive and a pleasure to deal with.

I feel utterly compelled to write another review for Algarve Retreats having just returned from our delayed 2020 holiday. I have used Algarve Retreats for a number of years now, and have stayed in quite a few different apartments around the marina - all of them of a superb standard - this was our 2nd time in Apt Tahir. On arrival, greeted like old friends by Adrian and Tracey, it was such a tonic after the last year! But more important is their and their teams' desire and execution in delivering a first class service - wonderful! It does feel like a home from home - thank you!!

I am really impressed with the professionalism and quality of what the team do, from initial contact to the efficient online accounts etc. What really makes the biggest difference is the people and everyone I have dealt with has been amazing. Paula has been a great help in finding someone to help solve the tax department Brexit nonsense. Ana has been amazing and clearly cares about her clients. I arranged some outside furniture for delivery and to my delight and surprise she managed to get it all unpacked and assembled before I arrived just 48 hours later!. It is rare to find people who really care about “delighting” clients like this. Great team and highly recommended!

Villa Matia is deceptively spacious and offers every comfort. Air conditioning in all rooms and electric window shutters help contribute to a good night sleep. The panoramic countryside views from the master bedroom are spectacular. The property would comfortably accommodate 6 but can sleep up to 10 with large bathrooms to each of the bedrooms. Although only a few minutes drive from the marina, a car is essential. The drive into Lagos is a little precarious down narrow winding lanes, but otherwise it’s a great location in a smart neighbourhood. Thoroughly recommended.

This is the second year running we have used Algarve Retreats and are so glad that we discovered them in 2019. This time it was rather a last minute booking due to Covid 19 issues and Tracey/Adrian were very efficient and helpful.
Airport transfers they arranged were punctual, clean vehicles and friendly drivers. The Apartment was immaculate and it is clear that all Covid secure measures implemented.

We returned to UK on 14th. September, by which time UK had put Portugal back into quarantine but this did not spoil our break with wonderful weather and lovely apartment and location!

Thanks again and we will be back - hopefully next year!

Superb apartment and excellent service. The Algarve Retreats staff are friendly and helpful were responsive to any requests we had while we were there. The apartment was immaculate and very well presented in a convenient location. Can highly recommend.

After being stuck in lock down in the UK during the Covid 19 saga, the first thing we needed was a relaxing holiday abroad. From the offset, the Algarve Retreats Team couldn't be more helpful and professional.

Adrian, Tracey and the team take pride in assuring only high satisfaction to their clientele. Nothing is too much to ask for and they are very easily accessible ready to take your call. They will do their utmost to positively resolve any issue at hand.

A 5 star standard of hospitality was maintained throughout our unforgettable stay in Lagos, not to mention the stunning apartment we stayed in. Besides being brand new and residing in an immensely convenient location, the apartment's rooftop pool with breathtaking views only added to the joyous experience.

I would recommend their services to anyone young, old and all those in between! Hope to be back soon!

The Villa is amazing, well decorated, and is located in a very quiet place, near to Porto de Mós beach - very high standard.
We were two couples and a baby boy...the house is big enough for everybody
The swimmingpool area is wonderfull and very private. The gardens are beatifull and well-mantained.
All bedrooms are spacious and the linens soft.
We felt like home...

We stayed for several months due to the covid shutdown. Algarve retreats was very considerate and the apartment was great. Clean, very bright and airy. Even under the circumstances we enjoyed ourselves very much. One small consideration was 2 single beds where a double or queen size would have been appreciated
