Alpenglow Hosting is Minecraft server hosting built around one idea: you should only pay for the time your server is actually running. Most hosts charge a flat monthly fee whether anyone plays or not. We bill by the hour instead, based on how much memory your server uses, and a stopped server costs nothing at all. When nobody has been online for a while the server goes to sleep on its own, and the next player who tries to join wakes it up again within about a minute. For a server that a few friends play on two evenings a week, that difference adds up quickly. You can run Vanilla, Paper, Spigot, Purpur, Fabric, Forge, NeoForge or Quilt. Install a modpack from CurseForge or Modrinth in a couple of clicks, or upload the server pack an author shared with you. The panel gives you a live console, player and performance stats, mod and config management. Backups run automatically, and you can name a snapshot and keep it until you delete it. We do not lock your data in. You can download your whole server as a standard archive at any time, including while it is switched off, and that file works anywhere else. If you are moving in from another host, you can upload your existing server folder and we work out the software, Minecraft version and mod loader from what is inside it. Everything is stored in Germany, and we explain plainly where your data lives, how long we keep it and what we log.
