“I am very disappointed with my experience at Alpha Bank. While I have been a customer for some time, the service I received recently was far below expectations. The staff was unhelpful and did not provide clear answers regarding my loan terms, leading to confusion and frustration. When I raised concerns about over-indebtedness, I felt that the bank did not take my issues seriously, and I did not receive the support I needed to resolve the situation. Zero client support
Zero client support. They blocked my account, and now I can't pay my credit card debt amount. Instead of responding to any of my 100 requests, they sent my details to a collection agency. Their behavior is rude and unprofessional, and they continue to ignore their customers.

Alpha bank is the worse’s bank ever , employees specially the older employees are frustrated, tired and upset of life don’t open account , go any other bank but not alpha bank !

The bank “offers” the possibility to open an account online and do not go to the premises. So in the end you are forced to go there.
Before you go , you need to book an appointment which is -in most stores- available about two weeks ahead.
When eventually you go to the shop, it is understaffed , thus very slow and the chances that you are not at helped are very high.
We pay so much money and it is ridiculous that still in Greece 2024 simple things done so quickly and easy anywhere in the EU, electronically or not here in Greece you need to spend so much time and energy

Insincere Customer Service
The telephone customer service is of poor quality. Most of the time I had tried to call to get an answer on an inquiry, I had received a false and/or vague response. Then, when I tried to contact them again and let them know that I have taken the wrong steps, based on their advice, they told me I had to resolve the issue myself! Both completely indifferent about the customer and not willing to actively look on the issue, learn and provide a relevant knowledgeable reply. Please also keep in mind that those employees, from the BANK, are hired after examinations, I suppose relevant to work, which is strange because the employees are not knowledgeable at all, even on basic questions! Very strange indeed. In addition, the customer service from the Bank, such as that from Holargos Branch, is pushy and deceitful. For example, I wanted to make a wire transfer to another bank, abroad, and have visited the branch to make the transfer at the cashier because it was over 15k, which is the maximum standard daily amount you can transfer via their online platform. The employee at the cashier and the telephone service employee, prior to this visit, as always, did not inform me about the process and relevant charges that applied. The cashier employee, rudely, gave me a piece of paper, relevant to the transfer I wanted to perform, to fill out, where I also stated the amount I wanted to transfer. The employ at the cashier did not read that paper, but rather orally asked me the amount! The result, of course, was that she did the transfer somewhat short of the amount, i had written, and even had told her! I did not say anything, as I had already paid the high commission required for the transfer, but still had to work around with the amount transferred short. In addition, she told me, after I had paid the high commission that NEXT TIME I could, as a GOLD customer, make a special written request in person to the bank official, TO INCREASE the transfer limit on my account, and thus be able to make the wire transfer online, for considerably lower bank commissions.(The commission I paid that day at the cashier was about 30 Euros and online I could have paid about 5–10 Euros.) Moreover, I have figured, though my experience, that the daily online amount increase could be executed for every customer, and not only for Gold customers, the cashier employee had loudly informed me that day, so that other customers by standing, only wished they could do that as well. ;) Lastly, most employees, at this Branch, are also very pushy with their communications. For example, after suggestions they make to invest your money, they become angry, aggressive and give you faces, when you think and act different to their "suggestions". (Be reminded, after all, they are supposed and meant to be only suggestions.:)) Overall very disappointed with customer service from the bank. However, nowadays, actually rude, insincere, indifferent and offensive behavior towards the customer, is the norm from other banks, businesses, agencies etc. in Greece, and abroad, as well. It is very strange, but it seems that they are all "synchronized" to be, at minimum, rude, unprofessional and insincere!

Very well suited for those that like: waiting in queues; visiting the branch for any requirements, including making a complaint; being ignored by customer services; being ignored by the complaints department; being ignored by the CEO (vassilios.psaltis); personal information provided to a 3rd party, non government party, without authorization; being discriminated for not being Greek; being sneered at for visiting the branch, etc.,
Absolutely not recommended for those clients that prefer digital banking or are used the the UK banking system.

Very tricky to take out money from the ATM in local currency, thus avoid paying the excessive exchange rate they offer. Also the machine kept my card! Don't go there!

2.try making an appointment to update your passport details..I hope you have 3 weeks up your sleeve

I can’t even give them one star. My aunt has moved to the uk and needs to change her address and phone number. She can not attend a branch yet that is all you continually ask her to do. She is vulnerable and has no access to her pension as her cards have expired and yet you will NOT update her details without her coming to a branch. We booked a video call, you cancelled it, have sent endless compliant no one replies, phoned numerous times to be told there is no solution unless she comes to a branch. You are leaving a 79 year old with lung disease on an oxygen machine without access to her pension. Absolutely disgusting. Do not use this bank ever.
