I wouldn't want to have ever attempted this on my own. They were knowledgeable with every aspect of the process. Excellent!

We had a great experience with American Veterans Aid. They helped us navigate the paperwork required by the VA. and made the process smooth. My dad, 95 years old is very happy to have the pressure off of him.

Staff was so helpful, Barbara was amazing. Explained everything so I was comfortable with it. Never felt stressed. Delivered what was promised. So far I’ve recommended everyone who asks that they need to reach out to AVA 😃

American Veterans Aid does not tell you from the outset that they are merely a "let's-check-the boxes" outfit. They will do for you EXACTLY what the Veterans Administration will do for you FOR FREE ! But they want to charge you $2300 to begin the checklist - and they want the money UP FRONT. A veteran with any sense and gumption can do this in the same time frame as using their so-called "service."

We had to gather a lot of information. They broke it down and walked us through all that was needed. They were kind and patient with me. When the package was submitted, we had it right the first time.

We started off pretty good with everything. Changed persons that I talked with a couple of times. Other than that we had a pretty good over all experience.

Very much worth the cost! The team walked us through each step and made sure all information was presented for review.

I only had to submit my mother's information once. Once summitted, there were no additional requests from the government. The process was hectic, tedious, and just a bit nerve-wracking, but AVA worked patiently and diligently to ensure that the application was complete the first time. My representatives were polite and knowledgeable. THANK YOU AVA!

This VA benefit has allowed my 92 year old mother to pay my brother for taking care of her 24/7 365. He has taken care of her for years and until now has been a thankless job. He feeds her a diabetic diet, administers her insulin, checks her sugar and blood pressure, makes sure she gets her meds and takes her to all of her appointments. We are so grateful for him and now he can actually get compensated for all his hard work.

Start to finish we felt supported! Each individual that we worked with at American Veterans Aid exhibited proffessionalism and a genuine care for our case. We had a bit of a hiccup but a representative cleared it up and resubmitted our claim again. We recieved the great news of monthly support in only 6 months.

Thorough, responsive and knowledgable. They helped us determine if my mom was eligible for benefits and guided us through every step. Once we submitted our application, mom’s approval came within a few months. She now can access the care and support she needs. The team at AVA were great!

The folks at American Veterans Aid are experts in guiding you through the process of applying for VA financial aide for spouses of veterans. The extra financial support is allowing my mom to live safely with the care she needed. I can’t imagine trying to navigate the process without their help.

The bottom line is that our application for VA Aid & Attendance was approved. I did appreciate having a very clear list of deliverables that I needed to provide for the application process. Beyond that, though, I was unhappy with the support I received whenever I had a question. My contact person was not responsive and when I did get a response, she did not directly address the question I was asking. I also would receive repeated calls from various other people to check to see if I had sent in certain forms … but the right hand did not seem to know what the left hand was doing.
My biggest problem was the fact that all the information for the application was provided in plenty of time for them to send the application in by the end of the month and I called and emailed to make sure they knew that everything had been provided. Even so, the application wasn’t sent in until the first day of the next month. This meant that, once we were approved, I did not receive any funds for the month prior to when they filed. THEN when I called about that, my contact was hard to reach and had no reason for the delay. Did not apologize, and really had no excuse. I escalated to the president of the organization and was simply told that she would “talk with” my contact person. That was the last I heard.
I did not know my application was approved until the money showed up in my account 5 months later.
