After what felt like an endless mortgage journey, I cannot thank the team at AMS enough for getting me across the finish line.

What started as a simple mortgage porting application turned into an extremely complex case and, after 8 weeks of waiting, the application was ultimately declined. It was an incredibly stressful situation, especially as I was working against a deadline to secure my mortgage.

At one point, I was probably the talk of the office as the nightmare client! I’m fairly certain everyone knew my phone number off by heart from the number of times I called for updates. Yet no matter how many times I rang, every member of the team remained patient, professional, reassuring and genuinely happy to help.

The moment the decline came through, Luke acted immediately and submitted a new application with an alternative lender within the hour.

What happened next was nothing short of exceptional. Claire went above and beyond, spending hours on the phone with the lender and manually working through my application because she knew how important it was to meet my deadline. Thanks to her dedication, expertise and persistence, I received my mortgage offer within just 8 working days!

A huge thank you to Shanita, who worked tirelessly chasing updates throughout the process, she was always there with updates and reassurance whenever Claire wasn’t available. The communication from the entire team was outstanding, and I always felt informed and supported.

I would also like to thank Alex, who took the time to help answer some of my more technical questions, even though it wasn’t his case. That level of teamwork and willingness to help speaks volumes about the culture at AMS.

Throughout the process, I never felt like just another case number. The whole team pulled together, communicated brilliantly and worked incredibly hard to achieve the best possible outcome for me.
