I used Angrovelaw to prepare my cohabitation agreement with my partner. My experience with Hillary and her team was very positive. We did multiple rounds of reviewing the agreement and she collected my feedback before offering her advice in what my options are and what will have a good chance of being uphold in a court of law. I contacted different law firms enquiring for an ILA and their services. Angrove Law was the company that suited my needs best: a reasonably priced ILA service with no retainer, yet a service provided with genuine care, responsiveness, and professionalism.
The collaboration started with a free 15-minute consult with Mallory and Adrianna whom explained how they could serve my needs best while detailing the process. They answered all my questions with a clear understanding of how they operate so I decided to hire them.

The communication was clear, concise, responsive, and attentive. Leanne was great in guiding me for submitting documents on their platform and answering the questions I had regarding the administrative part.
Mallory took care of my case for the ILA, and I’m pleased with how she addressed it: very professional and clear, she explained all the legalese in a way that was easy for me to understand as a non-native English speaker, and not being familiar with Canadian and Ontarian law as a newcomer. Mallory understood I needed this particular attention and she was very kind and understanding in that regard on top of her impeccable work.
I’m also acknowledging how the whole team was patient with my case, as there had been some delay in getting some information and documents on my end due to personal circumstances. Mallory and the team were understanding and let me have all the time needed to take care of that part.

Overall, the whole process occurred as Mallory and the team had explained in the free consult and my case was completed in a matter of days after all the documents were submitted. Mallory gave me great advice and insight and submitted recommendations to the other party for the amending of the original agreement. The communication with the other party was clear and it went smoothly.
I now feel a genuine achievement with this work as I now look forward with more clarity and security.

I contacted Angrove because my partner and I, planning a marriage and being of advanced years, wanted a prenuptial agreement. Adrianna listened to what we envisioned being in the agreement and has covered all our bases. She was so easy to talk to and she listened well. Our experience was extremely disappointing.
The only interaction we had with the lawyer was a brief introductory call of approximately 20 minutes. We never had the actual client meeting where both spouses would discuss our circumstances, goals, assets, and the terms of the proposed postnuptial agreement. We also had not provided detailed instructions or direction regarding what we wanted included in the agreement.
Despite this, we were later charged approximately $1,300 for work that the firm claimed had been completed.
What makes this particularly concerning is that no work was ever delivered to us. We repeatedly requested a copy of the work we were being charged for, but the firm refused to provide it. Instead, we were told it could only be viewed during a Zoom meeting. If we were being billed for completed work, we believe we should have been able to receive and review it.
We also repeatedly requested a detailed accounting of the billable hours and an explanation of the work performed. No such accounting was provided.
Most importantly, we never even had the initial client meeting necessary to provide instructions for a postnuptial agreement. Without that meeting, and without receiving our directions or requirements, it is difficult to understand how a meaningful draft could have been created in the first place. The firm has never provided any evidence showing what work was done, how much time was spent on it, or why the charges were justified.
After the lawyer was away from Friday through Monday, we emailed on Monday advising that we no longer wished to proceed with the service. We were nevertheless charged approximately $1,300 and later faced additional late fees while attempting to obtain an explanation and supporting documentation.

In summary, we were charged significant fees for work that was never delivered, never substantiated with billable-hour records, and allegedly completed before we had even participated in the initial client meeting needed to provide instructions for the agreement. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this firm.
