I just bought my fourth book from the shop “anybook”. Again I am very happy with the good service. The book has a very good price in comparison with other shops. The book is in a very good condition. The shop knows the correct abebook-rules to declare appropriately the book-parcel. (Book-purchases with abebooks should be regularly tax free between UK and Germany) That ensures fast delivery without frictions at customs between UK and Germany (delivery within 5 days). Tipp: Receiving the parcel via a “Packstation” in Germany works properly if you buy the books in single envelops. Anybook knows how to declare the parcel that it will be delivered by the right operator. Summary: Do you enjoy English books which are out of stock and not available in Germany? Look at first whether anybook does it offer.

Anybook had the uncommon out-of-print book that I was looking for, the price and shipping cost were reasonable, and it arrived from the UK to Japan quite briskly!

I love it when inquiries are dealt with expeditiously. Which is what Anybook does. I don't know how they manage to do it, but it's great. Also, the book I ordered was in a much better condition than I'd expected.

After ordering, I received a message that the book may not look as nice as described and whether I wanted to cancel the purchase. But I still wanted to receive the book.

It was even better! I got two lovely surpises while buying from this place, the first one was that the book I bought arrive a week before the estimated date (I ordered it 4 days ago), and the second one was that, when I opened the box waiting to see a (rare) book in 'fair' condition, I was surpised by its state being way better than that, at least 'good', honestly I would rate it as nearly excellent. This is the first time I make a positive review after purchasing a book because is the first time I find an honest reason for doing so, excellent experience.
