Apartments Unlimited lied to me and I have it in writing. This makes it a company I would not do business with under any circumstance. They promised me in writing a refund of one night, of a 6 night paid stay , and never paid it even after numerous emails.
I booked an apartment in Amsterdam with them. They required 100% payment upfront + 250 euros security deposit. We sent them the full amount. Our flight was cancelled due to weather conditions in Amsterdam airport- the whole airport was closed down December 11 2018, due to snow storms . We immediately contacted all parties , and received a full refund on all our prepaid tickets, including air tickets,(El AL) taxi pick-up, Museum tickets (Anne Frank) and theatre tickets (toneelgroep Amsterdam).The only company who refused to give us a refund was Apartments Unlimited, however they did agree to return our security deposit and refund the one night in which the Snow storm closed the airport . Naturally we could hardly have done any damage to an apartment we did not set foot in. However when we received the refund, I noticed some time after ,the one night stay had not been refunded. (we had paid for 6 nights- I expexted a one night refund as promised) After writing to them and asking them to keep their word and refund that one night , Rui Bandeira , the manager ,replied that it was too late, 4 months had passed.
which means he lied to me in writing .
A company that lies is not to be trusted!
