At first, I truly believed that Hongyu Apparel would be able to execute the designer jacket I’ve been developing for my fashion line. I provided them with detailed tech packages, material information, and very clear instructions — including the fact that my garment requires attached gloves, which are a signature part of my brand identity.
After they accepted my payment and confirmed they understood the design, they suddenly told me they could not make the gloves that were clearly included in the tech pack. Since my entire line is based on garments with integrated gloves, this was extremely disappointing. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, thinking maybe the material choice was too difficult, so we moved forward with a second material.
Second attempt:
We selected a new fabric, and once again they failed to properly produce the gloves. I reminded them how essential the gloves are to my collection. After some back-and-forth, they told me they would try again with a simpler glove design. They attempted it — and the result was extremely poor-quality and not wearable. It looked nothing like the design I submitted.
Third attempt:
Despite the ongoing issues, they quoted me another $40, raising the cost to $180 (after already paying $140 twice), bringing my total to $420. Even after paying the additional amount, they still could not execute the gloves. I also asked for the skirt in the back to be more flowing — I sent illustrations and reference images — and they still sent me the same flat, non-flowing skirt as before.
Again, they admitted they were unable to make the gloves.
This is after multiple payments and after repeatedly promising they could.
What makes this even more frustrating is that they kept pushing me toward a bulk order — of a design they couldn’t even produce correctly.
My tech pack was detailed. My instructions were clear. I paid for the work. They repeatedly told me they could do it — and repeatedly failed to deliver the core elements of the design.
I am extremely dissatisfied with the lack of skill, inconsistency, price changes, and the misleading assurances.
⚠️ I strongly recommend avoiding Hongyu Apparel.
They take on projects they cannot complete, produce weak and inaccurate results, and continue to request payment even when they fail to execute the design.
Proceed with caution — or better yet, stay away.
Extremely disappointed. Shirts shipped separately multiple days late without any tracking information provided. One of the shirts was obviously damaged before shipping with a hole in the back and string hanging on the shoulder.
My fault for not thoroughly checking however wasted a good print on the front before seeing the damage. Then wasted time driving to another local vendor to pay more for the shirt to match the order.
Apparel.com wasn’t willing to offer any credit or compensation for the ripped shirt, delayed time or additional print fees or shirt purchased.
It’s 2025 and I have to make a phone call to get an authorization for a return and then write an actual address on the outside of a package. Are you actually kidding me?? SHADY and ridiculous.
Beware of LEVI’s in Mirdiff city Centre.
I wanted to return an outfit within 4 days (the return policy on bill says 14 days) with all the tags and original invoice. But they would not refund, at first he said he does not have cash so I asked to return the money to my card, which is how I paid but he said he cannot do that and forced me to take a gift card and was also throwing attitude.
Refused to ship order to my shipping address and would only ship to my billing address. Customer service called to inform me and confirmed I own both locations but they still refused. Makes zero sense, there’s plenty of other suppliers out there.. I’d suggest giving your money to a different company.

We are small new youth football club in Suffolk and we ordered a youth football team kit in July. We finally after a long time of waiting received the kit. The whole kit was wrong, then numbers on the shirt on the front and back were different.
The sizes that we order for 7 year olds didn’t even fit my 3 year old. With a lot of complaining via WhatsApp they sent another kit, but again! All wrong sizes.
Otherwise.

Customer service is non existent you can't get through on the number most of the time. When you finally get through the phone is dropped by Clare in the warehouse who can't be bothered. Or messages are taken for a refund but it is not ACTIONED even though the item has been returned. Is it a crime to return an item of clothing that does not fit. It was sent on the 17/9/24 next day delivery no acknowledgement to date
I ordered two varsity jackets on March 17, 2023 and received nothing in the mail yet. It’s been well over a year and whenever I email their support team they tell me that my package will be arriving soon and the reason for the delay is because I ordered a pre-released item. They are scammers and deserve to get shut down. Please report them on Reportfraud.ftc.gov to help spread awareness to law enforcement and put an end to these scammers.
This is the worse company to purchase from. I placed an order on December 11th and nothing has happened since. I received one email informing me that I would be notified once shipped, nothing has happened in the past week. Impossible to speak with anyone. Return and cancellation policies are impossible!! Stay away from this company if you ever want to receive your merchandise.
What a ridiculous thing! I’ve made an order on 10th Nov, still didn’t received it…. To get in touch with them is so difficult, they are not replying at all!!!! I’ve got only one email saying that they are investigating this issue with Royal Mail bla bla 😑 I’ve requested a full refund and sent them already lots of emails but of course no respond on that!!! I will never ever order anything else there …. Shame on them!
Products look nice but customers aren't permitted to ship products to anything other than the billing address on their credit card.
For any company wanting to ship products to customers or other team members, Apparel.com doesn't allow this and flags it as fraudulent.

I have not received this order, paid on 20th September £48.60 plus taxes, how do I get in touch with your Support. Not even a response to my order. Please advise before i contact my bank. Terrible Customer service.
I was nervous after placing my order whether this website was actually legit because of a lack of reviews and a bunch of similar sounding (fake or generated, I thought) reviews. I even reached out to customer service who was quick to respond and I felt even more nervous about actually receiving my order because I couldn’t cancel my order after 30 minutes per their policy. But, I got everything I ordered in the right color and size, and it all arrived within two weeks. My experience has been very positive and I feel bad for doubting. To the customer service rep, I apologize if I sounded a bit aggressive due to my fear of being scammed, but I am 100% satisfied with my order. I got everything I asked for, and I would order again.
