I have been learning Egyptian Arabic for the past few months with Arabease and I have been enjoying the lessons and have seen the progress in my Arabic very fast. Tate has been very organised and made sure I had a session on the times that is best suited for me. Every lesson is very structured, there is a plan and it covers all types of learning (talking, listening, reading and even culture elements). I had a few tutors with arabease and all have been very welcoming and made me feel very comfortable when I tried to speak. Excited to see my progress in a years time! 🎉

Working with Ola and Tarek has given me confidence in learning Egyptian Arabic. I was originally intimidated because of my preconceived notions of what I thought would be very difficult. Arabease uses a very intuitive approach to teaching a language. I was able to grasp concepts easily and quickly. I could start speaking Egyptian Arabic right away! I highly recommend Arabease.

Rehab is my son’s tutor - so professional so dedicated and a brilliant teacher. Tarek who runs it has been a breath of fresh air to work with. It’s not an easy language & their teaching is a cut above anything we have experienced. Can’t recommend them enough.

I have been learning with Arabease for about two months now and the experience has been overwhelmingly positive. I travel to Egypt each year and had previously been attempting to learn basic conversational Egyptian Arabic with only language apps. The apps gave me zero confidence to actually speak in Arabic with my friends. Tarek highly stresses pronunciation (with immediate feedback from his instructors living in Cairo) and learning to write, which has opened up a great deal of understanding that language apps cannot provide. I have a long way to go, but I have no regrets on my decision to learn with Arabease and look forward to the rest of my courses!

I am learning classical Arabic with Ms Rehab, who is firstly a wonderful, kind person, and is also a fantastic teacher. Patient, clear and very knowledgable. Highly recommend for Egyptian dialect and also classical Arabic.

Tarek is a really great teacher - he's really flexible and adapts the topics to fit with what you want to know, and he makes sure you get lots of practice in writing as well as speaking and listening. It's also so helpful that Arabease reviews your speaking for the homework as well so you get lots of support outside of class!

I already spoke Egyptian Arabic, but I had never properly learned it. I couldn’t write, I couldn’t read, and my pronunciation honestly wasn’t good. Everything I knew was based on feeling and habit. Because I already spoke Egyptian Arabic and also speak other languages, I had developed many deeply rooted mistakes. The kind of mistakes that are extremely hard to correct once they are ingrained.

And yet, in less than two months, I achieved results I never thought were possible. Today, I can even read the Quran in Arabic, something I genuinely never imagined I would be able to do. Thanks to his guidance, I didn’t just improve my everyday Egyptian Arabic and conversational topics, he also carefully taught me how to read the Quran properly and correctly.

My pronunciation was really not good. Some sounds I couldn’t even properly hear, let alone pronounce correctly. What I appreciate most is that he never just told me something was wrong. He always tried to understand why I was making that mistake. Was it because of another language I speak? Was it because of how I had learned it before? Was I interpreting a certain sound incorrectly?

He genuinely tried to identify the root cause of every persistent mistake. Based on that, he constantly adapted his approach to fit me personally. He would go letter by letter, patiently correcting me, repeating, explaining, and practicing until I could truly hear the difference, understand it, and pronounce it correctly. That level of dedication and analytical teaching is rare. He did not give up until it was right.

I also really appreciate that I don’t only hear his pronunciation. He makes sure I’m exposed to another speaker as well, which gives variation in sound and intonation. That helps tremendously with training my ear and makes the learning process much more complete and realistic.

On top of that, his teaching style is unique. It never feels like sitting in a formal classroom with a strict teacher. It honestly feels like you’re having a conversation with a local friend and naturally learning Egyptian Arabic along the way. For me, that is the best method. The lessons are light, funny, enjoyable, and highly motivating. It never feels heavy or overwhelming.

He often told me that I was actually a “difficult case” because I already spoke Egyptian Arabic and had many deeply ingrained patterns that are usually very hard to change. But with his method, patience, and personalized approach, we have progressed much further than I ever hoped.

I am genuinely impressed by how much progress is possible in such a short time. I’m incredibly grateful and would recommend him to anyone who truly wants to learn Egyptian Arabic correctly, with attention to detail, pronunciation, and real, lasting improvement.

10/10, never a dull moment in Tarek’s classes! I’m learning Egyptian Arabic just for fun (16-classes so far) and Arabease designs the curriculum in a way that makes Arabic feel approachable, even for a complete beginner. The structure, small reminders, and simple tricks really help things click without feeling overwhelming, despite how complex the language is. Learning with Tarek feels like being guided by a friend who genuinely wants you to understand. My Arabic was basically non-existent before, my progress is encouraging enough to keep me motivated and excited to continue.

Have been tutored for 7months so able to give a helpful/informed review - I've really enjoyed learning Arabic with the team and Tarek has built out lessons around my hectic life style so it works well for me. Am making progress in reading, writing and speaking which feels good. Reason I’ve stuck with Arabease is their style of teaching - they push you dependent on your goal and are serious about language pedagogy so my tutor clocks when I have a mental block with certain words or my brain is trying to swap sentences back into native language structure and corrects it on the spot. So my brain is forming the right thought patterns in the language, not just memorising lots of vocab. Will continue for the foreseeable future!

The lessons are very well structured, I feel I can see and understand where I am progressing with my learning very easily. The lessons are also tailored and made realistic to my goals and specific use for the language

Learning Arabic as a beginner

I am a language teacher myself and speak several languages. The Arabic lessons with Tareq are always fun and often challenging because I need to forget most things I know about Indo-European languages. Tareq is very flexible and able to identify my way of learning a language and to adjust to it. He gives me a lot of information about his culture and I really enjoy learning so much.
His school is very well organized which enables him to react quickly and also outside of our scheduled lessons. So far it has been a great experience learning Arabic with Arabease and specifically with Tareq!

I'm learning Egyptian Arabic for my future travels in Egypt while I'm doing research there. I've studied quite a few languages before, but always feel nervous about speaking. Tarek has been patient and flexible, adapting to my learning needs and strengths while still gently pushing me out of my comfort zone. I really appreciate that our classes have a bit of humor too - it makes it much more fun that we can joke a little as well as learn!

Before studying with Arabease, I had taken some Arabic classes with other individuals, but they were always more informal. I felt like I wasn't learning because there was no structure. Since studying with Arabease, especially with Tarek because I'm studying the Egypian variant, I feel like I've improved very quickly and learned a lot. I've only been learning with Arabease since March 2025, and now I dare to have small conversations in Arabic with other people. What I also really like is that you don't just learn the language, but you also learn about the culture of Egypt (in my case). I recommend the platform 100%.
