I chose a simple black dress from Aria Monaco for a dinner started early and went on much longer than planned. The length worked with flat shoes, and I cloud sit comfortably without adjusting the skirt every few minutes. It arrived folded aquite tightly, so I steamed the front before wearing it. By the end the evening the shape still looked neat, event after the train ride home. I will probably keep it for the occasions when jeans feel too casual.
