Bad experience all round
A few words of caution for anyone considering a suit from ARN Race Leathers. Firstly, their customer service is abysmal. It took almost 6 months to get my suit and I had to chase up Riz every single step of the way. I even had to Photoshop the initial design myself just to get an idea of what it would look like. Secondly, when you eventually get your suit don't expect to be able to ride in it straight away. When mine arrived it was incredibly tight and and restricted my movement so much I could only do 2 laps before pulling in for safety's sake. Not something I expect from a £1600 made to measure suit (not including airbag). When I complained to Riz he was incredibly dismissive and condescending, and offered no advice on how the issue could be resolved. I was excited when I first ordered the suit but now I'm just frustrated and disappointed. It seems there are others who have suffered similar issues so be warned. I have no issue with the quality of the suit, just everything else. I have since gone on a 2 hour road ride after taking a warm shower wearing the suit, which helped but it was still tight enough to be distracting next time on track. I'll try another shower/ride which will hopefully be enough.
Price breakdown - £1065 for the basic suit, £110 for airbag compatible, £100 for perforated, £40 for pattern sections, add vat.
Doesn't include the airbag vest itself.
