Habe vor Weihnachten Figuren für Eisenbahn Spur Z bestellt, die erst angefertigt werden müssen. Bezahlen musste ich im voraus. Seitdem erhalte ich keine Antworten auf meine Anfragen zum Liefertermin. Auf die schriftliche Bitte auf Rücktritt vom Kauf und Rückerstattung des Kaufpreises kommt auch keinerlei Reaktion.
Der Shop ist höchstgradig unseriös, ich rate davon ab, dort zu bestellen.
Es gibt bessere Shops, wo die Zahlung erst fällig wird, wenn die Figuren hergestellt sind und der Liefertermin feststeht.

They provided street primary sources for their facts instead of opinions or secondary sources such as other politicians opinions on issues that are easily recorded because they all have to do with numbers, but they continually report correctly more so than those in control. I mean, come on if you were to legitimately look at the whole grand scheme of everything and the CIA has done in the past how is this not of a far-fetched easily obtainable not goal but endgame for how they function.

Their articles are completely biased and tilted in one political direction. They routinely leave out information to slant a narrative. It's a shame, they used to be good

It's more like AssTechinca than Ars that used to be. The editorial policies could be described as far left in north American left/right wing leaning vocabulary. The comment section is a collection of omni-offended incels who vent their frustrations on anyone who doesn't fit their skewed view of the world. God forbid if you have a different opinion, cue in screaming fits of rage, quasi-intellectual drivel and condescending retorts. It's like an echo camber where they keep spoiled, entitled kids. Avoid by all costs. I'd give it a 0 points if possible.

Used to be a tech site, now just all stories about US politics.

Ich hatte an einem Tag, innerhalb einer Stunde, zwei Bestellungen aufgegeben und darum gebeten diese - wegen der eh sehr hohen Versandkosten - zuzusammenzuführen. Da ich auf meine Mail keine Antwort erhielt, habe ich am Folgetag angerufen. Die Zusammenführung wurde abgelehnt, weil angeblich die erste Bestellung schon versandt sei....??? Man müsse daher zweimal Versandkosten berechnen. Solche Händler braucht niemand. Finger weg von diesem Laden.

I’ve followed Ars Technica for years because of its in-depth tech and science reporting, but lately the site has slowly shifted more toward liberal-leaning social and political content. I get that tech doesn’t exist in a vacuum and intersects with broader issues, but I do miss the technology coverage.

I decided to leave a comment on an Ars Technica article that was essentially covering the McDonald's Ice Cream machine controversy with Kytch and the lawsuit and I made a good point which was that the Franchise owners could simply insure the Taylor machines with a Third party instead of allowing themselves to be intimidated, This comment was downvoted into oblivion, with 7 votes by the time of this writing and, I'm sure more will be coming. It all begs a massive question. I perceive I Was disliked, But, I have no idea why. So, If I wanted to ameliorate the situation and engage in good faith, I would be unable to, since I don't even have good guesses as to why my comment was so negatively received. Avoid this website and it's comment section. at all cost. If I could give it 0 stars, I would. P.s. I'm a leftist and even I find this trashheap unacceptable. the karma system is like the chinese social credit system

Ars used to be my favorite source of non-political tech news. It has slowly turned into a liberal echo chamber. I did not notice the bias at first but it has become more apparent and flagrant, especially in the past year. The articles often lack facts and sources and are full of liberal biased opinions. I expected better from Ars but now they are no better than any of the other low-class mainstream media outlets. :(

they went from a tech site, to everything russia's fault. several of their articles sources are now just "Trust us bro." Stick to technology

Ars used to be a great tech news site, now, not so much. They (or should I say Ashley Belanger amongst others) have a hard on for Musk, likely because he has exposed the left for the total and utter hypocrites they are, through their (now ended by him) control of Twitter.

If you make any sensible normal comment, you are castigated as 'extreme' or 'far' right. The new rhetoric of the left to avoid any sensible discussion.

Such a shame that these lefty liberal imbecile zealots seem to be everywhere and destroying everything that was once good.

But they have good stories for tech sometimes. Comments is almost a hivemind, to the point where I can almost always predict the results. The up/down vote system is abused to give "the correct opinion" a boost while everything else gets buried, and hidden. Basically anything not aligning to their prerogative (see: left leaning) is seen as "trolling" and "stupid".
Also: fun fact, you cannot ignore staff. At all. Not even in the forums. Just something to consider.

Am 29.10.2022 eine Modellbahn für 324,89€ via Paypal vorbestellt und bezahlt. Bis Ende Januar 2023 noch kein Lieferdatum genannt bekommen. Soweit, so gut. Am 28.01.2023 eine E-Mail an info@… geschickt, mit der Bitte die Bestellung zu stornieren und den bereits abgebuchten Betrag zu erstatten. Bis 31.01.2023 keine Rückmeldung erhalten und deshalb telefonisch Kontakt gesucht. Ich wurde vertröstet und gebeten, eine E-Mail an office@… z.Hd. eines Herrn Pfeifer (o.ä.) zu schicken. Dies habe ich auch direkt getan mit erneuter Bitte um Stornierung. Leider bis 03.02.2023 immer noch keinerlei Reaktion. Nun läuft bei PayPal ein Klärungsverfahren, das leider auch bis min. 23.02.2023 dauert. Selbst auf meinen Klärungsantrag hin ist bis heute 09.02.2023 noch keine Reaktion seitens ArsTecnica erfolgt.

Ich kann jeden nur davor warnen, online Bestellungen bei diesem Shop aufzugeben. Das Verhalten ist absolut unseriös und Kunden voraussichtlich einen Monat lang auf eine Rückzahlung warten zu lassen äußerst dreist! Vermutlich liegt hier eine Taktik vor, die eigene Liquidität positiv zu halten und hohe gewerbliche Bankzinsen von ca. 7-10% zu vermeiden.

This site is very left leaning. For example people were outright banned that left comments that did not follow the left/mainstream media. Even when this comments had data from the CDC, WHO and etc. to backup the comment. Thats does not matter to them because it isn't being reported in the mainstream media or backed by the democrats.

The website has a lot of good articles. One of them happened to get me a good grade in my Individuals and Societies subject. I also used OPVL to find if the website was trustworthy, and it is. I also read some of the comments below, and, even though one is a true statement, the other is just some dumb 9 year old who found out that they criticized the Xbox. But, by all means, use this website. It is good!

Very American-Eurocentric focused tech news site. As a non westerner, I find them to be arrogant and their axiomatic views on liberty and freedom to be offensive and wrong.
