If you require a medication that must be refilled regularly, I strongly recommend seeking care elsewhere.

This review specifically relates to prescription refill management and communication from Dr. Arthur’s office staff, which patients relying on ongoing medications should be aware of.

I requested a refill on 2/23, and it was never called in. On 2/27, Dr. Arthur contacted me and said I would need to be seen again before another full-month prescription could be written, but that he would call in a 15-day supply in the meantime.

I had my appointment on 3/12 specifically for a medication refill, yet as of 3/16 the refill still has not been sent to the pharmacy.

During this time I have called the office multiple times and spoken directly with the front desk, but no one has been able to provide a clear answer as to when the prescription will actually be sent. The temporary 15-day prescription that was provided 17 days ago has now run out, leaving me without the medication entirely.

Unfortunately, this is not a one-time mistake. This happens nearly every month. Each time I request a refill it requires repeated phone calls and follow-ups before anything is done, often leaving me down to my last dose or completely out of medication.

Managing routine prescriptions is a basic responsibility of any medical practice, and repeated delays like this create unnecessary interruptions in care for patients who are simply trying to follow their prescribed treatment plan.

I have already escalated this issue to clinic administration and have not received a response. The repeated delays and lack of follow-up reflect a serious breakdown in both the refill process and patient communication.

The staff is very friendly. Rifa makes me feel very cared for and she's very thorough and patient in listening and understanding my medical history and concerns.

Being seen was quick, affordable, flexible, uncomplicated and compassionate. He even helped uncover an unusual hereditary genetic disorder, the discovery of which has changed my life for the better. I felt heard and safe in that instance and always. Timely treatment is key in all instances, and that is what you can get through Dr. Arthur, rather than waiting months for an appointment or to save up money. I'm very thankful for Dr. Arthur an Arthur Direct Care.
