Ashtons were instructed to help us with our purchase of an apartment in France which also had a storage area in the basement (a cave ). We viewed the apartment and cave but after the purchase was completed we discovered that somebody else was claiming it was theirs.Ashtons had not obtained a plan of the basement which the partner claimed was "quite normal". I do not see how this can be true and work in practice and is not consistent with our experience in buying and selling our previous apartment.We paid over £8000 in legal fees (well over budget) and his advice was to find an avocat (who, where ? ) and pay yet more money. We employed them to avoid this kind of problem and we still haven't resolved it.
I believe you would be very unwise to employ Ashtons for work in France.

What to say!! How can you put in words how good Ashton legal is? From day one they put my heath first which was my mean worry. I was keeped updated and any questions I had was answered. It all takes time which is part of the process I guess. Emails answered and claim journey set out. By the time I got to the last stage (medical) I had the same person James. Having some continuity was really appreciated.
Still have another part the claim ongoing which is nearly a year on.

Would like the thank James Wilkin for his customer service, support and advice over the last year. Non fault road traffic injury claim. Had a few hiccups along the way with the defendant insurers but James always fully explained and advised through out. I was able to email at all times with fast responses explaining in full along with phone calls helping with appointments and physio. Highly recommend.

Everyone I had exchanges with at Ashtons Legal were great. I was always kept up to date on the progression of my claim and if there were periods where nothing was happening Ben Ward always checked in. Any questions or queries I had were responded to and nothing was too much trouble.
