A major complaint is the "bait and switch" tactic, where a low initial fee (eg. US$5 becomes a monthly subscription up to US$50 without you being informed or agreeing on this supposed “subscription”). The FTC have filed a lawsuit in January 2026 against JustAnswer for deceptive subscription practices.

Most ridiculously bad experience
Most ridiculously bad experience. I spoke to chat bots the whole time. I wanted to be matched with a doctor. Described my issue to a chat bot for 15 minutes. Then, I was transferred to a lawyer (!). Once I pointed out the confusion, I was still unable to speak to a human.
