I made a solo visit to India in April 26 covering the Punjab, Kolkata and Assam. The tour was very well organised with all hotels booked on my behalf. Pick up at airports and English speaking tour guides who pick you up at your hotel. So the service was spot on. All internal flights were booked by the company. Visits to the Golden temple in Amritsar with the guide is a memorable event. Visits to Shimla and Kalkota with expert guides were great. Finally the River cruise on the Brahmaputra with Temple visits and the Karazinga National park spotting the one horned rhinos 🦏 were a great experience. All the itinerary expertly guided and organised by Authentic India tours. Special thanks to Liza for being available at all times.

Excellent hotels and lodges . All city guides were knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. The wildlife guides were also extremely knowledgeable and made our wildlife experiences unforgettable.
The food throughout was delicious, fresh and varied. The only hotel where we had an issue was the room service meal at the Delhi hotel which gave me food poisoning.
The company representatives were always smartly presented, helpful and efficient. Similarly the drivers were also smartly turned out with spotlessly clean cars that had bottled water and snacks. Some spoke better English than others which was helpful but we never had any problems or concerns about any of their driving.
Very well planned holiday given the mixture of places that we wanted to visit.

All our dealings from start to finish with AIT were so polite efficient and thorough. We had an amazing trip specially curated for us and it went above and beyond expectations. All the hotels, whilst very different didn't disappoint. The guides were very informative and our drivers were very competent.
Our trip took us into a home for a cooking lesson, a dawn boat ride down the Ganges in Varanasi, a pink city tour in Jaipur, a blue city walking tour in Jodhpur, a boat ride around the Lake Palace hotel in Udaipur. To a house boat in the Kerala backwaters and an Ayurvedic spa on the beach to a slum walk in Mumbai. The trip was 3 and a half weeks long and I miss India already and would love to go back and ask AIT to organise my next trip.

Where do I start, we have just had the best tour of Kerala. We met Vimal at the luxury travel show in London and were immediately struck by his knowledge and enthusiasm. I explained as an ex travel agent with 42 years experience he would have to be amazing if we were to book with Authentic Indian tours. He did not disappoint, the itinerary and boutique style hotels he choose on our behalf were magnificent. Our driver Sanji was an absolute star and looked after us from the moment we arrived into Bangaluru to the day we flew from Kochin. The care and consideration shown by Sanji made our holiday, we had so much fun teasing him and introducing the daily quiz, we will never forget our trip.
I have never travelled with a company who made regular calls throughout the trip to check our enjoyment and comfort. Vimal if you read this, we would like to thank you and your staff for making our holiday so memorable . We will be back 100%

We 1st met Vimal (one of the owners) at a London travel show. We gave him a brief on what we wanted to see on this trip to India. He put together an outstanding 25 day itinerary and we topped and tailed it according to our budget and needs. Vimal and his team were extremely prompt in getting back to us with our queries and in particularly obtaining our Indian visa. They held our hand step by step.

From the time we arrived in Chennai to our departure in Cochin everything was taken care of for us. Our driver, Sajith, was fantastic. He was a safe and considerate driver and remained calm in the chaos around us. Nothing was too much trouble for him. On one occassion we were going by tut-tut to a restaurant and as it was raining so heavily he said he would take us to the restaurant which was on the other side of town. He waited for us to have our meal and then picked us up and bought us back to the hotel. Excellent service.
Our itinerary was fairly busy, but we saw some amazing temples and sights, with excellent guides who spoke very good English. Our hotels were 4-5 star. Very clean and comfortable and some a bit quirky which we liked. We mostly ate in the hotels and never had a bad meal or became sick. The office in India contacted us every few days to see how we were getting on. Vimal even made the effort to come and see us in our hotel in Cochin which was a journey of 2 hours . There were so many highlights on this trip and no issues. We have come home with lots of fond memories of the friendly people in Tamil Nadu, Kerala and the amazing sights. We have no hesitation in recommending Authentic India Tours for their professionalism and customer care.

I have been to India many times and this trip was the best ever organised by Authentic India Tours. I wanted to introduce my daughter and friend to the true India, the people, the topography and the culture, mostly off the beaten track. we were not disappointed. The attention to detail, the personal service by Vimal and his team were exceptional.

Hymalayas
Our holiday to the Hymalayas organised by Vimal at Authentic India Tours was superb!
We visited Darjeeling, Pelling,Gangtok and Kalimpong. Finally we spent 4 relaxing days at Glenburn tea estate which was amazing. A real luxurious treat with fantastic views of Kanchenjunga.
Our visit to the state of Sikkim was unforgettable , visiting monasteries and gardens with some interesting local markets in the mix.
Everything was well organised and we felt safe and comfortable throughout. We can thoroughly recommend Authentic India Tours.

We had an absolutely fabulous 18 day tour of India, visiting Delhi, Amritsar, Chandigarh, Shimla, Delhi, Agra, Ramathra Fort, and Jaipur. We were delighted with the trip that was arranged by Authentic India Tours in Swansea.

AIT listened to our preferences and requirements to create a tailor made tour. Their support during the tourist e-visa application process gave us full confidence before we set off. The team in Swansea were extremely helpful and knowledgable in planning all aspects of our trip.

All the AIT representatives in each location in India were punctual, friendly, knowledgable and efficient.

Our tour guides were well chosen. Our guide in Agra was outstanding. His expert knowledge of Agra and the Taj Mahal made our visit unforgettable. Our sunset and sunrise visits to the Taj Mahal were the highlight of our tour; the Golden Temple in Amritsar was memorable and spiritual too.

The range and standard of the accommodation was excellent, mostly heritage hotels with two modern hotels. Dining at the hotels was a very high standard at all the hotels.

We travelled by train and private car. All the transportation arrangements worked very well 100% punctual to our itinerary schedule. We were accompanied by AIT representatives to railway stations early in the morning and were met at the carriage doors at the end of a journey.All the vehicle drivers assigned to us for long road journeys were skilful, polite, and courteous at all times. Their vehicles were modern, air-conditioned and clean inside and out.

We felt safe and secure at all stages of our eighteen day tour and we acknowledge the choice of hotels and the care and attention of the AIT staff in India to achieve this.

We had considered other tour operators, but our experience in touring India during November 2025 confirmed we made the right choice to select Authentic India Tours. As a result we have no hesitation in recommending Authentic India Tours to future travellers to India.

Mumbai, Goa and Hampi were great places to visit with their history a core to our trip. The hotels we stayed in were all very appropriate and each had a charming character, alongside the availability of good food and real character. Our driver was very careful and highly adaptable in responding to our particular preferences. Overall, a great trip.:well organised, attentive local support, plus good accommodation and transport.

Superb experience from start to finish. The team is based in Kerala, so using their country specialist's knowledge, trips are planned consulting with, listening to, and providing suggestions to the client. Bamboo rafting and trekking in Periyar were great fun and very well organised. We saw lots of interesting wildlife, including an elephant in the wild! The hotels were outstanding, with stunning grounds and very attentive staff.

With an amazing itinerary, the film's communication with clients has been first class. Meeting their needs, and responding quickly to any queries or problems has been excellent.
Having travelled the world for the last 25 years, our India tour has been one of the best ever. The organisation here in the UK, the backup in India, and the quality both of hotels and lodges, has been of the highest order. During our tour we experienced many tiger viewings.

We weren't planning a trip to India until 2027, however, after chatting to Vimal at Authentic India's stand at the Travel show, we were so inspired we booked our trip for March 2025. We've travelled widely, and this is definitely one of the best trips ever. Vimal's suggestions were excellent, he listened to our requirements and came up with an the perfect itinerary. All of our accommodation was first-rate. We loved Mysore, saw tigers and elephants in Kabini and loved our glamping experience there. A few days in the Pepper Trail in our treehouse was peaceful, we loved Lockhart Bungalow in Munnar in the tea plantation. We loved Kerala, Cochin is such a great city and we had two wonderful nights on the Keralan backwaters, so peaceful and beautiful. Our driver, Sajith, was with us for the entire trip, he is an exceptional driver, very safe and careful. Despite the madness on the roads in India, we were never worried. He was also very informative and had a great sense of humour, by the end of our trip he had become our friend. Authentic India thought of everything to make our trip amazing, the attention to detail was the best. We had very high expectations, these were exceeded. We highly recommend them, they really are the best!

We have just arrived back from a tour of Darjeeling and Sikkim followed by a short cruise on the Ganges and a few days in Kolkata. From the initial planning to the end of our holiday Authentic India have been superb. They allowed us to “fine tune” our tour to fit in with what we wanted to see and do.
Once in India everything went like clockwork. Our guides and drivers were excellent and we felt safe at all times. We went to places and had experiences that were wonderful and we have memories that we will keep forever.
We will be booking with Authentic India again.

The support team involved in each stage of our 3k mile tour across India by car, were great ambassadors for Authentic Indian Tours. The team made our travel plans stress free, across the many occasions we were on the move, changing hotels, drivers, and taking internal flights. The ‘checking in calls’ throughout our holiday to ensure we were happy, were very appreciated too.

Our trip was well organised and exceeded our expectations. Our driver was first class. We were met efficiently at Cochin Airport, and subsequently in Cochin town by a representative. We were contacted a couple of times during our trip to check that everything was ok. All the accommodation chosen for us was first class

This was our first time using someone else to organise a trip for us for many years and we are very pleased to say that it all worked out wonderfully. We received all of the information that we needed for planning before we left, and then we were excellently looked after in Kerala by Rajeesh and Prabash.
The itinerary was full but still left us enough time to chill or to go off exploring on our own if we wanted. Our main guide was very well-informed and personable.
If there was one element of the holiday that was slightly disappointing it was the fact that the hotel food was (understandably) slightly sanitised for international tastes. This was beyond Authentic India's control and we could make up for this by going to local restaurants enough times to give us our fix of the full spice experience.

Perfect organisation every step of the way, amazing personnel in UK office: fantastic drivers, guides and local office staff checking in with us every couple of days.

This has been our first visit to Sri Lanka and we absolutely loved the experience! Every day was filled with more treasures from safaris to temples to tea plantations and also time relaxing in lovely hotels. The trip was extremely well organised with all our needs catered for. The planning was made to be very straight forward and we were given good advise as to what we needed and any queries were quickly responded to.
We could not have asked for more from our driver!! We thank him for showing us around the vast variety of experiences and treasures that Sri Lanka holds. His knowledge was extensive and aside from sharing the details during our different stops, our general chatter as we journeyed from one point to the next was great fun!

We have felt extremely safe and he was considerate and thoughtful as to our needs and the best way to approach the tour at each stage.

This has been one of our most memorable holidays and we thank him for his your dedication.
