Exhausting experience
We are extremely disappointed and honestly very angry about the experience we’ve had. We trusted you, paid you on time every single time, and in return we were left with unfinished work and very poor-quality results in many areas. Floors have been badly done and will cost us a significant amount to redo. We’ve only used them less than a month and they are breaking already. Walls, ceilings, and door frames were all poorly finished, far below the standard you promised.
At the beginning, you started well, but very quickly your attendance became inconsistent. You stopped showing up regularly, worked half days most of the time, and made minimal progress both daily and weekly. Despite this, you continuously blamed delays on everything except your lack of work.
You also began demanding advance payments every two weeks, often threatening not to return if we didn’t pay. This created constant stress and was incredibly difficult to deal with—especially as we were living on site and could clearly see that the delays were due to insufficient work being done.
There was not a single week where you delivered what you said you would. Every deadline was missed, and the same line—“we’ll finish in two weeks”—was repeated for months without any real timely progress.
When the work was finally “completed,” it was nowhere near the standard agreed. Any guarantee you offered is meaningless, as you do not answer calls or come back to fix issues.
It became worse when we decided to trust you again and you accepted another job from us. You promised to fix all the issues left from the previous job and to start immediately after receiving a deposit, yet we had to chase you for a full week while you gave multiple excuses for not showing up. Then you disappeared entirely for another week, not answering either your work or personal phone. When we requested a refund due to your absence, you refused.
Eventually, you reappeared and recommitted to the job—but completely outside the agreed timeframe. Even then, you failed to meet expectations: you arrived alone despite promising an additional worker, showed up late (often around midday), worked only partial days, and frequently didn’t show up at all. After the third time you didn’t you up and ghosted us once again, you said you wouldn’t come back to work leaving us with not even one task completed and we still haven’t received the refund of the deposit.
This has been an exhausting and frustrating experience from start to finish.
Do not hire this Adam if you expect reliability or timely completion. He consistently overpromises, underdelivers, and requires constant chasing just to get work done. The least you can do at this stage is return our deposit and the money we paid for the flooring that we have to completely redo.
