waste of time

Took 500 quid off me for a pair of trainers they didn't even have in stock? took them 7 working days to figure this out and return my money. what a waste of time.

Wish I had read these reviews

Wish I had read these reviews before I placed an order for some perfume, received a generic email back stating I had placed my order with a reference number, since then nothing else further. Managed to stop a part of the payment as I paid through Klarna and going to ask them to step in
Really worried that I have lost over £70 after reading these reviews and even sent a tweet on X and received nothing back very worrying that they are able to still trade

DO NOT order from this site!! My wife ordered a fragrance on 20th January and there has been nothing. When you try to contact customer services there is nothing. This is a SCAM, beware!! My wife paid £94 and we are going to contact Trading Standards. I hope these people can sleep at night, total scumbags!!

Two weeks in impossible to find out if order shipped or not, told to "wait", then said they'll refund but 2 weeks in they haven't

Ordered some Clinique stuff on 20 January. Got order confirmation which said we'll send you a dispatch email when sent. They also charged my card the same day.

I hear nothing so 11 days later on 31 January I send an email to cs at avenueretail.co.uk to ask what's happening. No reply.

On 3 Feb I speak to an agent via their chat. All they can tell me is to wait for "updates". No indication how long, having already been two weeks. I ask for a refund. They say email refunds at avenueretail.co.uk. I do and I get an automated reply saying they'll process a refund and it should be with me in up to 10 working days later. 10 working days later no refund so I email them again. I get the same automated reply that they will process a refund and I should get it in up to 10 working days. In the end I got a chargeback from my credit card provider.

I can't think of another occasion I had such a problem with an online retailer. Very poor and quite bizarre.

Dreadful

Dreadful - ordered 31 December 2023 and appreciate it was holiday season. Product still hasn't arrived by 22 Jan despite being told it was posted 16 Jan (although sceptical as no email received to advise it had been dispatched).
Customer service email address - cs-at-avenueretail dot co dot uk do not respond. The online chat bot doesn't understand the question "where is my order". Eventually I have "spoken" to "customer services" twice on the bot and on the 2nd chat, they have blatantly lied - advising the product was posted when it clearly wasn't. Thankfully, the bot immediately sends you an email of your chat, so I have all of the evidence. I would advise you to think twice before spending money here.

Today 22 Jan, I have been asked on the "customer services bot" if I received a tracking number to which I replied no, to be told - good news it's on its way ... no tracking number provided - apparently, the customer services people don't have access to tracking numbers!!

Thankfully I paid by credit card, so I will be raising a complaint through them if needed.
