Poor customer service for disabled skiers
I am a blind skier and this was my fourth time skiing in Avoriaz. I always have to buy lift passes in resort due to needing to produce evidence of my disability. I have never had any issues requesting ski passes for a disabled adult and adult guide at any resort until this year. I thought I was significantly overcharged for what I had asked for but it was difficult to make sense of the resort website to clarify how much 6-day local lift passes should cost. I have raised this query with the resort since returning on 4 February 2024 and their responses have been really disappointing as they have failed to answer my repeated query about how much I should have paid. Their last response was sent on 2 April 2024 and they have disabled the mechanism to reply to this which I found really childish and insulting. I have produced all the evidence they have requested regarding my purchase yet have not answered my query. The only sense I can make from looking online is that I have been charged for area lift passes and that Avoriaz do not offer local lift pass rates which is contrary to every other ski resort in France. I have no choice but to order my lift passes in resort so this seems really unfair to me and different to every other ski trip I have been on. I will not return to Avoriaz due to their poor and disrespectful customer service.
