Wonderful food, great ambience and service,
Would highly recommend

There are 2 Banana Wharf’s in the Southampton area, 1 in Hamble & the other more central restaurant in Ocean Village. We booked a family table for 10 on a Saturday evening to catch up with family visiting from Denmark so important to show Southampton at its best! We booked online & unfortunately booked Hamble instead of Ocean Village, arrived at the venue in good time only to be told that we’d booked for Hamble not Ocean Village!! Saturday evening so a busy time, however they were kind enough to fit in our party of 10 as well as informing Hamble of our mistake. The food was really delicious, the service impeccable & the table comfortable, so THANK YOU to all the staff for managing to accommodate us.

The experience started with not being able to get the online booking system to work, so rang & booked a lunch time table (No real need as it turned out, most tables empty)( I now know why)
On arrival no problems, seated food ordered for 2 no problem.
One food order was lobster mac & cheese £25. The plate was mac topped with cheese, But Lobster was hard to find 4 very small pieces, not up to what should be expected for £25.
After the main coarse we had intended to order another alcoholic drink, deserts, tea & coffee.
As stated previously the restaurant was not busy, but we just got abandoned, no follow up service just dead space.
So eventually gave up got the bill & left. Went to a small beach side Cafe just down the road at Hamble shore (Good Service)
It wasn't until I got home & started checking the bill I realised Banana Wharf had had the audacity to charge me 10% service charge (for next to no service) I will check my bills more closely from now on, but I doubt very much that it will be a Banana Wharf bill. Eaten at Hamble branch before which was more of what should be expected, not so sure I will be eating at the Hamble branch again.
Must be a new manager since last time, allowing the service to go down hill to next to nothing. buck up Banana Wharf

We are so impressed with Banana Wharf, we have eaten there many times and the food is consistently fab! The menu is diverse and caters for all tastes and is good value for money. Most recent meal was a roast beef Sunday dinner and it did not disappoint. The portions are generous and the veggies were lovely and al dente. The waiting staff are helpful and friendly and the atmosphere is always good.
