Diane and Chris collected our beloved canine family member, Flori-Floo, just after she had been euthanasied peacefully at home.
They gave us plenty of time to say our last goodbyes, and then with the greatest respect and care, carried her back with them for individual cremation.
We were able to collect her ashes and bring her back home, the next day. This was a great comfort, and helped in our grieving process.
Highly recommended.

The card and certificate are a lovely idea, the wooden tag tied onto the bag with his name on, and his paw print…it was ALL just soooo beautifully done, I just didn’t expect that level of compassion from a service!! Nothing was too much trouble.
It made us feel so much better knowing how Tiger was cared for by yourselves, and how beautifully he was returned to us. Cannot thank you both enough.

We fully recommend Barnshaw and thank Chris and Diane for taking such good care of our girl Molly who died at home on Tuesday. Chris arrived within an hour or so of our phone call and was very kind, caring and reassuring. We collected Molly's ashes on Friday, beautifully presented from a lovely room and our spirits were truly uplifted. We're so grateful.

For what was a heart breaking day, cannot recommend Barnshaw Pet enough for their kind, discreet professional service. Once Roxy had been put to sleep, I couldn't face seeing her being carried out of the house. They took care of all of that in a very compassionate way. She had an individual cremation and I received her ashes, fur clippings and a card thoughtful card within days. I know for what was an incredibly sad day that she had the best send of.

Losing Chester was so hard, but Chris and Di here made the whole process so much easier. They responded to my emails immediately, even late at night, and arranged to pick him up the next day. Just a day later, I was able to collect him. Chris was incredibly kind and took time to chat, which really helped. Their compassion and professionalism made a difficult time feel a bit lighter, and I truly felt Chester was treated with care and respect. This place is premium in every way and went above and beyond—can't recommend them enough.

Our beautiful fur baby recently crossed the rainbow bridge which is absolutely heartbreaking. However, Chris, Diane and Kat really do go the extra mile and bring such comfort and kindness during this difficult time. The service provided was amazing, from start to finish. I can't praise the service enough you receive from the beautiful people here. They went above and beyond when I lost my fur baby JD. It's a fantastic place and Diane made me feel at ease and helped me talk about my memories of JD. I am going to recommend that anyone that wants to cremate their pet to go here. Barnshaw Pet Crematorium provide a brilliant service at the most difficult time of pet ownership.

Combined with Silver Gate Vets we opted for a home euthanasia and cremation to follow. After the sad moments Chris and Diane made us feel at ease and were very sensitive to our emotions at the time.
The cremation was carried out quickly and time made available for collection of very well presented ashes.

I can't recommend Barnshaw highly enough.
I didn't know what to expect after arranging with the vet for a cremation service for my beloved Dash whom we had put to sleep at home.
Diane from Barnshaw arrived after we had spent some time with him.
She explained everything that was going to happen.
Being late on a Friday evening I had imagined all sorts of terrible scenarios.
She gave us great comfort with letting us know our boy would travel back with them on the back seat, wrapped snuggly with his favourite toy.
We picked his ashes up the next day with a lovely pawprint and a bamboo pouch with his ashes in.
There were so many lovely touches and nothing was too much trouble.
For something that is so heartbreaking Diane made it more bearable.

I unfortunately had to use barnshaw recently due to my dog Marley passing away. From start to finish Chris and Di were amazing. From emailing me early hours of the morning when I needed to speak to arriving at barnshaw with Marley. We were given all the time we needed in the chapel of rest to say our goodbyes we were left alone and we were not interrupted. Chris spoke about the process that would happen and he treated Marley with the upmost care and respect. I dropped her off at 10.30am and she was back with me by 3.30 in her little box. I would highly recommend.

We sadly had to say goodbye to our senior Labrador recently. Silver Gate vets and Barnshaw Pet Crematorium couldn’t have made the sad experience any better- they were patient, empathetic, caring and compassionate. You could just tell they loved animals and were making a sad situation as comfortable and peaceful for our beloved Luna. Knowing she fell asleep at home whilst we cuddled and comforted her has really helped us with our grief. The kindest end to a truly wonderful moment of our family. Banshaw Pet crematorium returned Luna’s ashes promptly with a lovely card and personalised wooden heart- a really thoughtful gesture which was greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately we had to use Barnshaw on Bank Holiday Monday 26th August 2024. They were referred by Silver Gate Vets who they work very closely with. The vets came to our house to put Ozzy to sleep and there was no rush whatsoever - everything was done in the our time - Once the vet had finished they advised we could have as long as we needed until Barnshaw collected Ozzy - we said about 10 mins or so - they respectfully reversed up our driveway very very slowly and everything was explained to us what would happen - Chris and Diane were fantastic and treated Ozzy like it was a person from our family - very dignified. I helped them carry Ozzy out in the sling to their vehicle as he was a big lad - and there was a big comfy bed waiting to put him in with a snug blanket. Again they drove off very slowly on their drive back down to Tenterden. Ozzy was cremated on his own later that day as we didn't want him put in a freezer or on a group cremation.

After the event we sorted out options with Chris and Diane on the casket we wanted and the writing to be engraved on it.
All was done swiftly and rather than having it posted and the risks involved with that, we decided to make the trip to Tenterden to collect Ozzys ashes. They have a lovely setup here and everything is so personal, Ozzy was ready for us along with the paw print they took before cremation and a lovely card with some very kind words inside.

I cannot recommend Chris and Diane enough - they were brilliant in a time that was very dark for us losing our Ozzy who was 13.5 years old - thank you so much for everything you did guys its very much appreciated. RIP Ozzy you are at home with us now pride of place and we light a candle for you every evening xxx

I cannot recommend the service we received from Barnshaw more highly. After 15 years our beautiful Springer Spaniel Nula was beginning to suffer and we had arranged with the Vet at Silver Gate to end her suffering at home. Chris & Diane from Barnshaw arrived at our house shortly after the vet and were gentle and compassionate in the way they talked to us about Nula, our loss and how their individual cremation service would progress. They made a very emotional time much easier to bear, and the whole service was exemplary. Their empathy and consideration when we collected Nula’s ashes will not be forgotten by us. Thank you so much Barnshaw.

We lost our beautiful boy Buster after nearly 18 fantastic years. He passed on the Friday and was taken to Barnshaw on the Saturday. From when we drove in I felt at peace as the place was so peaceful and tranquil. We were met straight away by Diane. So compassionate, kind and caring. She talked us through everything which made us feel at ease. Nothing can ever prepare you for a life changing situation like losing your soul mate. He was returned to us the next day so beautifully presented. Not going through the vets was the best thing I have ever done. So impersonal no real caring element at all. I only wish that I found this beautiful place before for my other pets. Thank you so much Diane for making this life changing moment bearable you are one in a million.

A big thank you to Chris and Dianne we had to have my cat put to sleep and upon looking at places to have her cremated I came across Barnshaw pet cremation and Iam so glad I did.
