As a UK Citizen but Tax Non-Resident (landlord), the HMRC process can be quite confusing and time-sensitive (October paper file!).

I contacted BaseTax late in the Tax season, they were courteous and got everything squared away for me in time for the deadline... even with me having to hunt down documentation.

I used the £150 assisted service. It was great service and great value. Kah was super responsive (and I am an expat, resident in California so big time difference). I have previously used a conventional accountant, and Kah wasn't just cheaper, he was better. Helped me reduce my tax bill materially in a way my original accountant hadn't spotted (and I have double checked Kah's interpretation is correct). I can wholeheartedly recommend Basetax.

My daughter works in Dubai and has property income in the uk. As ever she was last minute to file her self assessment tax return. Only then did we realise that we could not use the standard inland revenue software. I contacted my local accountants, where I used to work, and they did not get back to me.
